What recall?

And I LIKE the "mini tundra" It's big enough to pull and haul, but can still bounce around offroad for fun. I think the new one would break if you took it offroad stock.

Just the right size, to me, and not bloated.

That's so it doesn't get high centered on the tracks.

The forward angled cab also allows better visibility for watching for road hazards.

The Tundra commercial would have been 10x better if they would have put the full weight of the shuttle on the hitch. That's what everyone wants to see.

2004 F150 sold with 187,000 miles and the original coil packs, the whole truck still looked new also.

I owned an f150 years ago. It was a solid truck and bravely gave it's life being smashed by a falling tree, it took most of the blow and kept me from being crushed in my Infiniti. But it had a bunch of dumb stuff go wrong, the paint fell off, I think Ford finally repainted it, the defroster broke the windshield wiper linkage broke, other stupid stuff that was just an annoyance

After my wife's Contour I don't think we would ever buy a Ford again. It was brand new and some electrical problem kept strandng her. Ford kept saying it was fixed and it kept just stopping by the side of the road. She sold it and bought a Camry.

Course my Tundra is in for a recall
My mom's Honda Accord had similar electrical issues.  Brake lights kept failing.

Ford's quality has improved.

I recently purchased a new 2014 Tundra.  Its by far the nicest vehicle Ive ever owned.  Comfort was the deciding factor for me, despite the obvious issues (no brake controller, thimble sized fuel tank, no HID headlights, etc).  If you've got kiddos in cars seats, the crew max can't be beat by anything other than a Ram mega cab.  Im a fan of the Ram, but the mega cab looks like a dick on a fish.

My boss has a 2009 Tundra with 200,000 miles on it. Never had any problems even though he drives 90mph constantly, overloads it on a regular basis, hauls his ATV and motorcycle back and forth to Canada about 5 times a year, hauls 10k lb trailers for work all the time, and god knows what on his personal time. Truck has needed tires and oil changes but nothing else. Meanwhile the Fords and Chevys the company owns see a mechanic shop two or three times a year..

Now that's a nice looking truck. The current generation Tundra looks like it crashed into the tree the Ugly Stick came from. Then the tree fell on it.

Trust me 90% of all the parts on you Chey/Ford are from Mexico or China. Trust me I got to see a lot of car parts at the factory when paying for my college, made in Mexico.

Nope. Fill that Ford's bed with these, you're gonna need them eventually. And repeatedly.

Longevity in other ways as well. An early gen Tundra, maintained, will have zero squeaks or rattles or vibration. It'll drive like a new truck. Try that with a decade-plus-old F-150. Last time I went to Car World in Candia, the biggest u-pick in the area, there were ROWS of 2000 and up F-150s with intact bodies, but just crapped out. There was only one Tundra, and it looked like it'd crashed into a building.

The plugs are only $3 a piece. The coil packs are close to $100 each.

I had a 2008 Tundra. I will review it honestly and as subjectively as I can.

I bought it used at 60k miles. It was a double cab limited 2WD. It had the factory tow package, with the hitch built into the frame. I never hauled anything close to the 11k rating, but I did use the 4.30 rear to tear through the rear tires. I think it did 0-60 in like 5.9 seconds or something. Comparing it to my boss's 2013 FX2, the Tundra has a better interior BY FAR. The leather in the Tundra was better than his, and probably would be on par with whatever the nicest leather is they put in the King Ranch. It was faster, also not by a close margin (he has 3.73 5.0L 2WD). Gas mileage was about the same.

It did eat through one two piece driveshaft (covered under warranty) and the pastic water pump died (also covered under warranty).

I sold it because I got a company car and the girlfriend already had a personal vehicle.

I'd seriously look at a new Tundra if I were in the market again.

Hey Aimless, does it have the V8?

If so, are you only allowed to use 7 of the cylinders at a time?

It's just silly to compare an F150 to a Tundra. Drive both with 100k miles on it, and it's not even a fair comparison. The Tundra wins every time.

I've owned most of the major brands of automobiles, and my Tundra and my Infinitis have been my favorites. The Ford I had takes second to last place with my old Chrysler POS Sebring being the worst car I've ever owned.

These guys saying they switched FROM Tundra to F150s ... I'm sorry, but not buying it. I could see going to the Ram with the Cummins diesel, or a GMC if you just have to "buy American", but give me a break with the F150. It shits the bed at 60k, guaranfuckinteed.

Good grief $9700?? Assuming the amount of profit they'd have to make I'm guessing they must have sold it for somewhere in the ballpark of $19g. Wasn't a red one was it?
