I've met and socialized with a few "famous" people before, including Kurt Cobain, Meryl Streep (who watched our kids for us while we went on a wine run...) and Kevin Bacon.
The only one that I would have liked to have spent more time with was Justice Sandra Day O'Conner. Very interesting woman. I had so many questions, but it was only a 10 minute meet and greet type of thing. Oh well. |

Have run into several music and tv personalities over the years while out in public.
Met several movie and tv types who were doing USO stuff while I was in the army. Have had several very funny and very negative interactions with "do you know who i am?" news media types in the DC area back in '03 and '04. Had one super-negative interaction with some fat, smelly movie guy that had an office in Red Bank, NJ. Only people I've got a little star-struck around were some of the military guys I worked around when I was in and a couple of competitive shooters. The movie, tv and radio people are just not interesting enough to get me into an emotional state. |
