Just finished some sausage and over easy eggs. When I was done I put the plate on the floor and let the dogs like it clean. I think they even remove the smell of what was on there! Then I put it back in the dish washer. Anyone else do this? My dogs love me when I do it for them.

Depends if I have peanut butter on hand or not.

Hell yes!

For the hard baked on shit I set them on the porch.

The coons do a wonderful job of licking them clean.

Yes, because the next stop is the dishwasher with the heated wash/rinse.

Hell no.
I do that myself. Wife hates it when I do it at a restaurant.

Nope.

I don't eat out of their dish and they don't eat out of mine.

My dogs have their own plates, utensils and napkins.

Can't do it.  The Rat Terrier has ulcerative colitis.

He's on a strict diet of rice, boiled hamburger and green beans.    Edit - Sometimes he gets plain toast.  Little bastard loves toast.

The Beagle is on a all natural diet - raw steak, veggies (asparagus, green beans, carrots, zucchini, etc), raw egg, sometimes a scoop of yogurt - in the morning.

He shares the rice/burger stuff at night.

My dogs eat better than most people.

Rat Terrier is - 15
Beagle is - 4

Sausage may contain garlic or onion powder.  Both of these ingredients are harmful to dogs.  So be careful with sausage.

Crabby would go nuts if I allowed Bimba to lick our plates.  The best I can do is to give Bimba something extra delicious on her plate.

She had steak for breakfast today

Dog has his own bowls.  That's what the critter eats from.  Not like he's human or anything.
Fuck.

I have tried, but my dog is scared of plates and bowls. She will clean a spoon though no problem.

No sausage, they are after the egg yolk left over. That I believe is good for their coat?

Don't have a dog, but feed one of my cats from the table. He is 16 so
it can't be that bad for him.

I was dogsitting for my stepson this week.

Noticed that she didn't lick plates.

So, I taught her how.

Hope he appreciates the effort...

Me and my Golden Retreiver used to share a beer every now and then just like in the movie "Shooter"

He died of cancer last year....I'm still here...

Just because it's a "critter" doesn't mean it can't be a friend......or even you're best friend.

Winning. Too cold here in the winter but in the summer I could get a dozen bears if I had enough plates.

In all fairness though, this morning the pooches got some bits of bacon and some pancakes.

Just not off of my plate.

I hate dogs that beg, and the #1 way to get them to start that habit is to give them human food.

not from the plate but she always gets a bit of meat that i'm cooking but it's from my hand or in her bowl.  tried vegetables (carrots, green beans) and fruit (apple, banana) but she usually won't go for it.
