All that overpriced shit is a joke.

Camelbak makes some large 3-day packs, I have one that lasted a deployment with shit tons of weight in it. I am sure the LBT bag would ast a long time as well

I can't defend that pack.

But I have spent as much or more on similar sized packs from good names.  Kifaru and Mystery Ranch come to mind.  After owning and using good packs, (as in actually using a pack, not hauling stuff to the range and up from mom's basement) a good pack is worth it's weight in gold.   Rucking 60+ lbs through the mountains for several days you will appreciate it.

But that pack is not a 'pack'.  More mursy.

I am a confirmed gear whore...and I could see myself paying 600 bucks for a state-of-the-art, Cuben fiber, carbon fiber, internal framed, miracle of modern engineering.

9.9 times out of 10, you get what you pay for.

But I don't see where that pack is any better than a Maxpedition or similar.

What comes inside the bag to make it $500+ ?

Better have a bunch of dikfurs and bullets and meds for that price.

No thanks.

It looks no much different than the $200 pack I just got from them on sale for $60 delivered. It is a nice pack. But I would not spend more than what I paid.

I have two of that exact same pack. Bought it several years ago. I can't remember what I paid now, but I'm sure it wasn't anywhere near that price. Maybe $150 at the most.

Agree.

And most of the time when you're spending big bucks, it's for reducing weight/adding strength.

A 6 pound day pack is not a feat of engineering.

Not saying I like this bag, but LBT is a bit of a different beast than Maxpedition's stuff.

The only reason people are starting to hear about LBT now is they have been dumping their overruns for cheap.  They've been available to/known by the military for ~20 years, and some of their jumpable RTO rucks were the shit.
