A close family member invited a bunch of people for steak dinner the next day, and was surprised when they all showed up and there was no steak to cook. No recollection of inviting them.

My brother was on Ambien a few years ago. He had a bad trip on it once while staying at my house. He knocked on my bedroom door 30 minutes after he had taken Ambien and gone to bed. He was unresponsive. Just looked freaked out and in a daze. He eventually started talking. He said he was seeing faces in the dark, everything was moving, and objects were taking on humanoid form.
He had just started a new dosage. He says he doesn't remember it. That or he's unwilling to talk about it. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I took that a couple of times. Every time I had big disaster nightmares, which I've never had before or since. I took one of the script sleeping meds one time and had a long conversation with my dead aunt (per my hubby, then bf). I had no memory of it. I didn't take it again. Now, if I have trouble sleeping, I just take an Advil PM. They seem to work just fine with no weirdness. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Quoted: Long story short, been taking Ambien / Zolpiedem for a couple months now. Mrs. Scarshooter, said I had a weird conversation last night with her about 1:00 a.m. regarding a conversation I was having with a demon. She asked what he looked like and I said that he was big, had black scales, red glowing eyes, and sharp bloody teeth. I told her that he makes me do dangerous things. Scary part is I have NO recollection of any conversation with her or the damn demon. I can tell I didn't get a restful nights sleep, but I can't remember anything l said. Best advice I've seen so far. I've tried Ambien and a few generic forms. All ended badly. Ditching the alarm clock was the most helpful thing I've found. My cell goes off when its time, but waking up and staring at an alarm clock is horrible and just gets you more worked up about falling asleep. |

I've got to say my luck with Ambien has been pretty good. My experience is that I take it as I'm heading to bed and instead of laying awake in bed for an hour or two, I'm gone within what seems like under 1/2 hour and I sleep solidly for eight hours or so. Been using the stuff occasionally for over a year and never met the walrus.
