Real or myth?
Anyone? |
|
[#1]
My money's on myth. Cows lie down to sleep. They may be in a semi-dozing state at times, but snap to full attention if anyone approaches. This according to my horse's veterinarian.

But if your country cousin wants to teach you how to milk a bull, let him go first.

[#6]
never tipped one..
Shot many in the ass with a bb gun. Tough bastards barely twitched. |
|
[#8]
I have been around cattle every day of my 25 years on this planet. Im not saying it is impossible but I call bs on 99.9 percent of the stories of it.

[#9]
No.
I'll let you have a shot at tipping a 100lb calf to start with. |

[#10]
My in-laws are dairy farmers and laughed when i asked them about cow tipping.
Go ahead and try it, they said |

I'm going with BS as well.
Sounds like a funny story but I've never been able to sneek up on the bastards without getting busted but the only ones I've ever been around were pretty wild and mean. |

Cows have retard strength.
A small calf can seriously mess you up. You want to tie in to a cow? The bitch will grind you up and spit you out after digesting you through 3 of her 4 stomachs. |
|
[#15]
Try it on some of my cows and you will have a quick, noisy and painful death.

There was no sneaking up on our cows.
If you were lucky enough to lay hands on one, the second you touched it, it was either up and heading the other direction or whirled about looking for a fight. |
|
[#19]
I usually do the standard 15% unless I get really good servi.....what?.....Oooooh , nevermind.

Three day old calves can push a grown man around without trying. Non-farm people have no idea how to anticipate a bovine's next action.
The stories are BS. |

which kinda of cow tipping, pushing over a dairy cow or a rosie odonell cow
on another note ever done port-a-john tipping? |

Was raised on a dairy farm for 23 years. Then had beef cattle for 1o years. Never found 1 sleeping standing up. It BS. City folk love to think that its true.

[#29]
I have personally tipped a cow and know that cow tipping actually occurs; but unless I receive truly excellent service I only tip the cow 10%. |
|
[#31]
What ever man gets pushed down by a 3 day old calf is a puss.

go ahead and try it but make sure and film it so we can watch

MYTH. My buddies and I tried in vain throughout our last semester of our senior year of High School back in 90. We'd go out in Dallas, bring a change of clothes and then late night we'd make our way out to BFE to go cowtippin. We got stampeded several times, chased by a rancher once and those bastards won't let you get ANYWHERE close to them at night. I still feel like that's where my failures in life started on those MOOnlite nights in those North Texas pastures riddled in disappointment and feelings of inadequacy.

Radio: Anybody got eyes on? Moi: Negatory good buddy. Looks like the rascal got away...clean. Oh, hold me out on my lunch break. |

A little known fact is that cow tipping only works for the first 3 or 4 days after calving. Something to do w/ the rigors of giving birth, the pressure of the calf on the pelvis and spine, and hormones fluctuating.
Tipping cows is a good way to play a human soccer ball. |

If you hit one in southern Arizona running for beer late at night. After waiting for the steam to clear from your destroyed radiator.
You can clearly see they tip over and don't wake up. I just painted that SOB too. |

[#45]
The only cow tipping I have seen is when you have to pull a calf and the cow is standing when you start.

Grew up in and currently live in Wisconsin. We had a farm about a 1/2 mile down the road from us, and later my family married into a family who operated a dairy farm.
I have been involved in two cow tipping incidents. Neither involved a sleeping cow. Only one cow was knocked over which was ambushed by about 5 teens while another couple kept it occupied. In the other incident one of my cousins was run over by said cow and got a well bruised ass. Most of the incidents are BS. It's not like you can just walk up and push one over. It takes effort and forethought, along with a strong dose of stupidity. |
