Consult me about some Belgians, if you will. Chimay Grand Reserve (Blue), Delerium Tremes, and Unibroue's La Fine Du Monde are some of the more popular Belgians I like. I am not a hop/bitter guy and prefer the maltier brews, so something like a Chimay Cinq Cents (Yellow) really turns me off. Any recommendation for a more malty Belgian I haven't mentioned?

Yes, Karmeliet is the best commercial Tripel out there. Add in there Lost Abbey's Quad and Nostradamus.

After groovyrascal's suggestions and reading some quick reviews I jammed over to the closest (good) liquor store to find a St. Bernardus Abt 12 waiting for me in the cooler. It's already in the glass as I type this. My initial impressions are good

You know, I could never get behind IPAs. I tried, but I just don't like that bitter hoppyness.

I used to be solely a German beer guy. I still love a Hefe, but them damn Belgians know how to make beer.

Give me a malty Tripple or Quad and I'm fine. The higher the ABV the better.

That's the only Belgian beer I've tried so far that I've not liked.  I hate it, in fact.  I'm not sure that there is a worse beer that I have tried.  Tastes like I'm drinking bad French cologne.

Delirium Tremens, on the other hand...
