I just have the 5. It has been my first iphone and am pretty pleased. My battery life is the same way. We went camping and over 3 days I didn't charge it until the final day. We were in a low signal area so I believe that contributed to a little quicker battery life loss. Bluetooth drains it down pretty quick.

Just got one my myself, our first smartphone.
BTW, this was not by choice. I found out that my 'water resistant' phone was not as water resistant as we hoped.
What's a good case for it? I heard that Otterbox dropped the ball with the 5C. |

I picked up a 5s and my only complaint so far is the print reader can get oily and not work, other than that it's pretty awesome!

5c - Plastic casing
5s - metal case I went with a 5s when I upgraded from my old 4s. Did not like the plastic casing or the candy-like colors on the 5c. |

I managed to get the battery life to last much longer on my 4s by turning a lot of things off like push email, and different apps that use data and background updating apps. Also turned off siri and spotlight. Apps that needed data that I didn't use unless I was at home where i have wifi were turned off.
I recently upgraded to the 5s and it's leaps and bounds better than my old 4s as far as how it functions with the newest iOS updates. When I went to the apple store they offered to buy my old phone for $199 which I jumped on. So I only had to pay $230 for my 64gb 5s which my 4s was a 64gb as well. Enjoy your 5c |
