As someone who has been fixing PC’s for the last 14 years,
let me help you out with a few of my pet peeves…

#1 why are you paying money for your antivirus?

Go here http://www.av-test.org/en/tests/home-user/

Look up your OS, and then click on the protection tab 2
times to sort.

You will notice the 2 of the TOP rated AV’s are FREE, Bitdefender
and Avira.

Personally, I use Bitdefender, but it don’t matter.

#2 Clean that crap off your PC!..

1st, go into your control panel, then Internet
Options.

make sure your home page is what you want, and not set to some adware search
page.

then go the Programs tab and click Manage Add-ons.

under search providers, I would only have bing or google as default, remove
anything else.

Now go under Toolbars.. its best to disable anything that’s not "standard” like
Java/MicroSoft/Adobe

Now for the cleanup

All of these are FREE and well used and trusted.

Don’t rely on your AV to catch or remove adware or some
spyware..

There are many good ones, but no 1 program will catch
everything..

Some of the good ones.

make sure you have malwarebytes setup like this..

SuperAntiSpyware http://ninite.com/super/

My personal choice for work PC’s is run Malwarebytes, then AdwCleaner.
If the PC is real bad, fallow it up with combo fix.

First place I go to "stop" the virus from startup and then proceed to RegEdit to delete the virus keys and THEN I run all the programs (in safe mode of course).

I have set plenty of those up for our work place. They are real fun when they screw up. No cd drive so you have to use slow ass wifi system restore. No vga or dvi or hdmi output so you have to buy an adapter to run a larger monitor. No ethernet port so you have to buy a network adapter. Not enough usb ports for all that shit so you have to buy a usb hub.  Mac really knows how to take your money.

This site adds/makes visible those takes when you copy and paste html into the side.  They don't show up until after you have posted it.  So if you don't proof read your own post after it is posted you will never know it was added/shown.

You are going to need MalwareBytes anti malware, Rkill and TDSSkiller, and an antivirus application (AVG or Avira).  Download these to a flash drive or other removable media

1. Go to safe mode with networking
2. upload rkill from flash drive.  Run it.
3. Upload TDSSKiller.  run this.  Reboot.
4. Go to safe mode with networking
5. Run Rkill again
6. Download Malwarebytes.  Run Malwarebytes in full scan mode.  Remove found malware.  Reboot
7. Go to safe mode with networking
8.  Run your antivirus software on full scan.  Reboot
9.  Boot as normal.  Run a disc cleaner or PC repair program.

If that's true, your haircut should have included a happy ending. (Note the porn/dating stuff)

How?  I can't see the interweb due to the toolbars taking over the entire viewing area of my browser.

Let me help you out.

Take the cover off your PC at least twice a year and clean out the cat hair, cigarette ash, dead human skin cells, Vaseline residue, and dust mites that have been sucked into it by the three 120mm fans with the blue LEDs that you thought were a good option for your Core Duo, your 2GB of DDR2, and your GT 7300 powerhouse VGA card.
