great respect for the king. fsa elects fsa freindlies like thaksin. rich no happy.

Stayed overnight in Pattaya beach back in '06 at the hard rock. Had a great time. Alcohol was really cheap.

minimum wage in bkk a couple years ago was 187 bht/day. at a 31 convo,
6 plus bucks a day. probably goes further. also, get a haircut and shave. cheap and good. |

Love Thailand and bkk but it's hot as fuck though. Wife is Thai so no red light district type stuff for me not that I'm overly interested in it anyway. You can always spot the weekend rental older dude with young girls specially in resort towns. Funny side note to that the wife always dresses to the 9's when out and about down there as she doesn't want to be mistaken for a rental
The women do love them some whitey even with wife in tow I was getting eye boned everywhere.
Everything is cheap the taxis suck though they always try to fuck you and are super picky about where they will go.you get spoiled eating out for a mere couple bux. People are friendly don't be a d bag and you won't have issues. |

I have been to Pattaya many times, from when I lived and worked in Bangkok for a while. I had a great time there with my Thai girlfriend, who happened to be a Senior Sergeant Major in the RTP. She didn't mind going to the strip clubs with me, but we didn't go to the ping pong shows or anything like that. We generally enjoyed going out to eat and hanging out with our friends.
Food is great and cheap, and I would have loved the beach if hawkers hadn't been on me every 30 seconds trying to get me to buy something. |

If you want to see whores and sluts, go to Pattaya. If you want to experience the beauty what Thailand really has to offer, avoid that place like the plague. But hey, if you like waking up next to a lady boy, go for it.
My wife is Thai and we go for a long trip once every 2 years. She is disgusted by what Pattaya has become. |
