Does this bait sound like something that works or BS? http://hogzillalights.com/blogs/news/6351838-wild-hog-bait-a-recipe-for-success Seems like a mash recipe. Works well. I just threw some out this morning actually. Pond is drying up and the hogs are rooting in the mud as of last night. Tonight, I wait. And slap skeeters. Like PBJ says, fresh turned soil works fairly well. A drying up waterhole as stated above. Also, when I find a waterhole dryin up I get some Kreso-d and mix it with hot water and then let the container sit in the sun all day to stay warm. If you buy it you will see why it needs to be diluted. Pour that stuff in the fresh mud on the outside of the water hole, some in it, and wait till nightfall. Hogs this time of year will love you and will be rolling in it two to three times a night if food is nearby. Really helps keep the lice and stuff off of them. Take that soured corn and fill up a two foot deep post hole and cover it lightly with dirt. You will have a pond the next day there. If you can find a back woods brewer of the shady type get his mash. Works the best IMO and he needs the stuff gone. My dad told me that he buried a horse a while back that was road kill (MDOT) and that the hogs tried for almost a week to root out the road kill. They have been known also to chew on newborn calves, mostly the smell of the afterbirth is what attracts them. |

There is a guy here who has thermal and some sort of rifle mounted on one of those remote control 4 prop UAVs. He has a business with the rice farmers, killing hogs at night. Saw one of his videos one time. Pretty cool. Ill see if I can find it. |
