My brother just got a preban colt 9mm ar15 and wants to put a colt 4 pos collapsible stock on it. I need to know will the colt 223 collapsible stock work on it?

Yes... unless you're shooting in full auto. In that case, you should use the heavy 9mm buffer in the tele-stock - the .223 buffer will have bolt bounce problems.
