I've got a pretty good sized army of Space Smurfs. I don't have the time for it, nor the money, and around me no one is trying to buy a fucking space marine army unfortunately.

I've been printing shitons of these models. Lots cheaper to play when your 2k point army only cost 30 bucks in material.

I found this website. I plan on getting some professionally painted sets for display and setting up some Blood Angel armies as we speak. My sister is planning on playing so we'll nerd the fuck out at family get togethers.

If y'all haven't read Aaron Dembski-Bowen's night lords book, you should. Apparently, even Chaos Marines get tired of the Khorne followers. |

What printer do you use? I have a lot of minis, but if I could print more stuff I would probably have even more any info would be appreciated. |

I ordered the sixth edition rule book. 452 pages View Quote Might want to cancel that. They are releasing either 6.5 or 7.0 in the summer that will add in a couple of books they've released since 6.0 was released and update some of the rules. Get on ebay and buy the Dark Vengence mini rule book until then. Has all the rules to play and none of the fluff you don't need unless you like the storyline. |

Some are still on thingiverse, some torrented, some I made by pulling regular files off of sketchup's repository and then converting to stl/obj. I've got a printrbot, with a .4 mm nozzle, I typically print at around 0.2 mm Z height, sometimes 0.1. Depends on the part and orientation. I've got some 0.2 and 0.15 nozzles I need to try, those can basically print so small you need a dang magnifying glass. I think my next printer is gonna be a prusa i3. I really like the design of it. |

I was going to bang this hottie last week but I failed my leadership test and went limp. She laughed at how much of a nerdy loser I was and I ran back 2d6 off the table.

View Quote lol now that is funny in other news I found a Pro Paint website that staffs former Games Workshop employees. Slowing getting a Dark Angel army put together, actually not bad about $7 a unit to be painted. |

I'm waiting on a custom paint job. There is a company out of Poland that just specializes in Warhammer models.

Not shit. The Zerg back story and all of their abilities are based on Tyranid

I picked up one of the Gaunt's Ghosts books one day just out of curiosity. It was awesome and now WH40K books have a regular place in my book rotation. I don't even do any of the modeling or video games or any of that shit, I just enjoy the universe.

I don't even do any of the modeling or video games or any of that shit, I just enjoy the universe. Me too. I started reading 40K with the Eisenhorn Omnibus for very good reasons... I love to read, I love sci-fi, it was LARGE and I was broke. Since that was published in '03 or so I've read pretty much all of them. It is a little like a mine field tho. Some really good ones (seriously, anything by Aaron Dembski-Bowden buy right now) to good (the Ciaphas Cain books, but just the first three) to OK (most of the Gaunt's Ghosts) to "Holy God How Did These Words Arrive On This Page In This Order?" (Lord of Night, out of print at the moment). The Heresy has it's up and down moments. I'm a little pissed at the large format books for 15 bucks when they should be 7.99 trade paperbacks. Check out Lexicanum if you want to know what something is, or who someone is. Good wiki-style reference. I like the Warseer Forums. Some folks like DAKKADAKKA. Both are good places to get "fluff", the background material. Disclaimer: I don't play the game or paint the models, but I do like the universe. Carry on, FOR THE EMPRAH!! |
