IIRC, Canada will not let you into the country with a DUI.
We should treat their citizens the same.

I thought he still had dual citizenship? If so, that would be just sending him home.

That would make a good reality show..it would fit in with the others as they would go over all his drama and crying in boot camp.

I don't think so. I think he was going to file for US Citizenship. How would he get duel citizenship? Is his father from the US?
Link Posted: 1/24/2014 12:53:14 PM EDT
US does not recognize duel citizenship you either are or are not.

Can't see Bieber in the Marines. He is not man enough (plus being a Canuck might be problematic).

His tattoos may be a no-go as well...or should be.

He works here. Rich people don't have the same rules for citizenship applications that the little people follow.

If he's still Canuck, DUI or not, send his ass back.
If Canada doesn't want him, he can afford to live someplace else, like Dubai.

That would actually be kinda cool if he went through boot, deployed overseas and shot a few assholes in the face with an M249, then got his DD214 and made some non-bitch music

Untrue. You must renounce other citizenships to become a US Citizen but you may have other citizenships otherwise. Certain jobs and clearances are not allowed those with foreign ties in many cases, though Canadian dual citizens in particular may get away with it.

I am saying if they will not let US DUI drivers into the country, we should not let them stay.

Ever since Edward Burke got shot in 1882 duel citizenship has been pretty frowned upon.

Seems like someone here was going to Canada with some friends. The driver had a DWI in the States, was denied entry and the whole bunch came home.

the Beib could probably sell locks of his hair to the teenyboppers, or whatever they're called these days, and make a mint.

Yep, he's here on a visa. So he needs to go the fuck home.

Wikipedia: Currently residing in the United States on an O-1 visa,[121] Bieber has said he is not interested in obtaining U.S. citizenship and has criticized America's health care system. Praising Canada as being "the best country in the world", he cited its health care system as a model example.[117]

He is here on an O-1 Visa.

O-1 Visa: Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement

The O-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the individual who possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or who has a demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry and has been recognized nationally or internationally for those achievements.
The O nonimmigrant classification is commonly referred to as:
•O-1A: individuals with an extraordinary ability in the sciences, education, business, or athletics (not including the arts, motion pictures or television industry)
•O-1B: individuals with an extraordinary ability in the arts or extraordinary achievement in motion picture or television industry
•O-2: individuals who will accompany an O-1, artist or athlete, to assist in a specific event or performance. For an O-1A, the O-2’s assistance must be an “integral part” of the O-1A’s activity. For an O-1B, the O-2’s assistance must be “essential” to the completion of the O-1B’s production. The O-2 worker has critical skills and experience with the O-1 that cannot be readily performed by a U.S. worker and which are essential to the successful performance of the O-1
•O-3: individuals who are the spouse or children of O-1’s and O-2’s

General Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for an O-1 visa, the beneficiary must demonstrate extraordinary ability by sustained national or international acclaim and must be coming temporarily to the United States to continue work in the area of extraordinary ability.

Extraordinary ability in the fields of science, education, business or athletics means a level of expertise indicating that the person is one of the small percentage who has risen to the very top of the field of endeavor.

Extraordinary ability in the field of arts means distinction. Distinction means a high level of achievement in the field of the arts evidenced by a degree of skill and recognition substantially above that ordinarily encountered to the extent that a person described as prominent is renowned, leading, or well-known in the field of arts.

To qualify for an O-1 visa in the motion picture or television industry, the beneficiary must demonstrate extraordinary achievement evidenced by a degree of skill and recognition significantly above that ordinarily encountered to the extent the person is recognized as outstanding, notable or leading in the motion picture and/or television field.
