I worked in a TV studio for 7 years. There was a very serious rule that you never did anything in studio or around a shooting location that you did not want everyone - including the boss - to hear or see.

I don't think I've seen a worse live tv reporter fail. Not just ruined him from that industry, but any possible other careers where they notice him.

Almost seems like there was coworker intent to screw him, and the camera guy set him up. What kind of conversation could he have been having with the camera guy where it set him up to drop that line the instant they went live? "Hey man, would you screw that missing girl even though she's 20? ......and we're live."
