Not going to the race this year. Went last year but couldn’t swing it this year; it’s an expensive weekend with travel, hotel, etc.
I would love to be there, but I’d not be too pleased with the lack of four cars participating. Marussia and Cat are obviously out, and SFI just barely made it. Not to mention Seb will only be driving on Sunday it would seem. Kind of sucks. I really hope F1 isn’t painting itself into a corner. Is it time to switch back to the V10s yet? |

I've spent too many years watching good drivers and good cars end up retired from races because of the 'rolling roadblocks' that were the new teams. HRT was the worst offender.. seemingly hell bent on putting the worst possible driver in the worst possible car. We'll see how this race goes without the new teams. |

Accordingly, under the authority granted to the stewards in Article 11.9 of the International Sporting Code, and having regard to the principles established in the Formula One Sporting Regulations Article 33.1, the stewards decide that the slowest four cars in Q1 will prohibited from taking any further part in the session, and the slowest four cars in Q2 will likewise be prohibited from taking any further part in the session.” Button will be taking a 5 spot penalty for a gearbox change. The FIA said the plight of the two teams, which have gone into administration “once again acutely raise the question of the economic balance of the FIA Formula One championship and justify the position, expressed many times by the FIA, in favour of any initiative that will help reduce costs in order to ensure the survival of the existing grid or attract potential new entrants”. What else is it when nearly a fifth of the grid is in administration, with at least two more teams (Sauber and Force India) in severe danger? There is something wrong with a sport if it cannot produce enough teams, and that is the position Formula One finds itself in. I don't know if it can be saved. and then F1 puts on this demonstration yesterday in Austin
That's right show the folks the RB7 an 18000RPM V8 then let them go to the track and see the dyson vacuum cleaner engines.
