The day the F1 pyramid scheme crashed F1 has bigger problems than it thinks. By Andrea Cairone October 29, 2014 / Photos by Getty Images Formula 1, a pyramid scheme? Okay, maybe that's a little too harsh. But in the last few years, it seems that the main concern of F1 has been to create ever-higher revenue for its main investors, rather than advance the sport. To prop up what has become a gargantuan and bloated system, new venues have been added in unlikely places, as have teams of questionable pedigree. View Quote |

F1 is about who can conserve the best not who is fastest for a couple hundred miles. |

The whole thing is going to come crashing down, and the fans are going to be left twiddling their thumbs on what used to be race day. (in response to F1 in general, not the USGP) |

View Quote (in response to F1 in general, not the USGP) I don't see it failing, but I do see some serious changes happening over the next decade or so. The troll from Suffolk needs to croak before any major changes happen though.. he's made it pretty evident that he won't retire. |

Does anyone have the TV schedule for the USGP? I know they are showing all the practices which I wish they would do for all the races...

Not sure if it'll be breadcast, but I do know NBC shows everything on their website live and on their app. To be honest I haven't watched NBC for more than a few minutes this season and have been almost exclusively watching SkyF1 so I'm not 100% on NBC's schedule. |

Not going to the race this year. Went last year but couldn’t swing it this year; it’s an expensive weekend with travel, hotel, etc.
I would love to be there, but I’d not be too pleased with the lack of four cars participating. Marussia and Cat are obviously out, and SFI just barely made it. Not to mention Seb will only be driving on Sunday it would seem. Kind of sucks. I really hope F1 isn’t painting itself into a corner. Is it time to switch back to the V10s yet? |

I've spent too many years watching good drivers and good cars end up retired from races because of the 'rolling roadblocks' that were the new teams. HRT was the worst offender.. seemingly hell bent on putting the worst possible driver in the worst possible car. We'll see how this race goes without the new teams. |
