Just went to the 1pm movie...took a little over 2hrs. Not bad, if you like these, you will love the 1st "after" part. Don't want to give it away, but it sounds like we are going to have some bad ass movies coming.

Was the battle in the first act of the movie better than the climactic battle at the end, like it was in the first Thor movie?

It was pretty entertaining. Superhero movie, not much to expect. Lots of fighting and some explosions and a lot of action.
Definitely worth the money if you go in expecting that. For some reason, I'm now a fan of the whole Marvel film universe by accident and I really like it when the movies reference another one. This movie and Captain America and Agents of SHIELD is doing a great job of holding me over until the next Avengers film. Now they just need to bring the X-Men and Fantastic Four into the fold and make it complete. |

Was not impressed, needs more Sif and A lot less Jane Foster. The Loki thing kind of threw me too.

Good flick. The gal who wore that see through dress at premiere was entertaining. Kat Denning was hilarious. Still don't know why they picked portman no screen chemistry at all.

I'm boycotting any super hero movie until they make planet Hulk.

haha, don't know if the movie is any good or not. On a related note, there were a bunch of dorks dressed up in costumes last night when the girl and I went to see bad grandpa. Fucking weirdos.

Saw it tonight with the family. I liked it a LOT more than the first Thor movie. Very entertaining and engaging movie. Lots of humor too.

Just saw it tonight. Liked it much more than the first Thor.

I really liked it. I thought it was better than the first one.

Just got back from it, it was far far better than the first one, IMHO. And yes, Natalie Portman is not very good in the movie but it's good none the less.

So SLOW. I should not be bored at an action/super hero movie, and I was, a lot.

I liked the first movie a lot, really looking forward to seeing this one.

I'm curious as to who's body it was that Loki was actually impersonating that met their demise?
|
|
wife and I thought it was good - on par with the first one
Dr. Selvig "I'm going to need my pants for this" Thor hanging his hammer on the coat rack was funny too |
|
|
well, better than the first, but that's not saying much. the after scenes were a let down. wtf is with the mugatu looking guy all giddy with the box those two hid with him?

I'm a long time Thor reader and it just felt like a good 'ol Thor adventure. I really like it. I wish the had been a bit more development of Makekith, because Christipher Eccleston is a pretty good actor and I felt he was a bit underused.
I really liked Loki impersonating everyone, including Captain America. That was really funny. |
|
I couldn't stand the stupid "humor" in the avengers. Guess I'm not much of a comic nerd.

I liked the first one way more. I felt there were too many holes in the story. I wish Loki had more fight scenes too. If I was Thor I'd dump Portman and tap the warrior chick. Portman's character had nothing appealing.

I thought it was great. The makeup done on the dark elves was fucking bad ass.

Yep, not menacing enough

Ok, WTF this was different Star Wars themes all throughout.
Click To View Spoiler Ok, when Thor's mother is floated down, it is the same scene as Padme from Episode III I forget who says it, but they said "Now go, my son" just like Vader in Episode VI Skip to 1:20 if you need to skip. Just like in Thor, down to the bad guys emerging. Thor loses his hand...Episode VI Natalie Portman..... |

Im hoping the last parts after the credits get better in the new CapT America movie. This one was lacking slightly. The movie overall wasnt bad.

|
Which was probably why Doom got the toned down treatment
