Seriously?
"Tanya Mount says the post of her weapons permit was on her private Facebook page. McBean Elementary School Principal Janina Dallas says the order was a preventative measure." Another local report on this.... Oh, I see.....she's an army veteran with a CCW. Now it makes sense, huh? |

|
If they have time to diddle around with nonsense, their budget is far too high, and taxes should be reduced.

I would make a point to go there and get arrested.
At least in Oregon, they can't tell you not to carry in a school, if you have a permit. |
|
I guess any LEO with kids there are screwed.Hell, they might be showing a real gun and everything. The principals head would explode!

View Quote Pretty sure some stupid ass school did that a few weeks ago. Told a cop to stop picking/dropping his kid off at school in uniform/vehicle. Soon, a common wet towl slumped on the floor will have more back bone than the nation of pussies we are breeding. |

No way in hell you would keep me out of my kids school.
Go in and get arrested. Sue the shit out of them. |

1. Run for school board.
2. Fire principal on principle. 3. Profit |

The Facebook haters are out tonight.
Look, If I post on FB that I have taken my third buck of the year and the limit is only two, then yeah, I deserve what I get coming to me. If I post MY OWN PERMIT because I'm "proud" of getting it.....where was a law broken? Why should I be singled out? Why not pull every few drivers over on the Interstate and just write them speeding tickets? Hell, they are going to speed anyway. Right? RIGHT? |

I guess sometimes we (as a gun-owning society) shouldn't bend as much as the man wants us to. She'll win this fight if it goes to court.......and IMHO....it should go to court. |

1st, facebook isn't private, and anyone who thinks so is naive at best.
2nd, maybe it's bullshit, but this stood out to me: Principal Dallas says several PTO members pointed out instances where Mount would disrupt classes and where Mount said she wouldn't let anybody bother her daughter View Quote Overzealous, overprotective "helicopter" parent? If principal has documentation of such disruptions, maybe it was a good move after all, CCW license notwithstanding. Could have also been a case of the principal becoming frustrated with such a parent and trying to find any excuse that enough people would support to get her banned from the school. |
|
They should give her the keys to the school for security!
Those with weapons permits ARE law abiding. They got the frickin' permit!

View Quote That's one ugly cunt and at the top of my "People I'd like to punch in the face today" list, if only. Too bad the mom didn't have the resources to fight this. Such an edict surely can't be legal, without cause. And possession of the permit isn't enough. If that were the case, then probably half of the schools parents would have to be trespassed. |
|
Screw that mess. I'd have a lawyer on speaker phone as I rolled up to the school.

Sounds like she was "that mom" no one can stand at PTA. So they came up with a reason (a really really stupid one) to get rid of her.

Pull the kid out of that school.

If somone is a problem, get a legal restraining order. CCW shouldn't matter. You are sounding like a Democrat. |

I wear my ISRA (Illinois State Rifle Association) shirt to my boy's school all the time. I freely speak of firearms at the school when the opportunity presents itself. I will not hide my hobby because some seem to think it's not PC to talk of firearms in public.

Singling one out due to a legal CCW is no go. Sounds like Sarah Brady with her "CCW owners ate just waiting to snap" crap. If she is a legitimate threat, get a restraining order in a legal manner, but having a CCW is not a reason. Yet another reason to complain about why I have to pay for crappy public schools I do not use. |
