Totally against the gov't telling anyone what to buy, but my question is what is the answer when you have people who can afford HC coverage but do not and than the bill falls on the tax payer to care for them.

there would actually be constitutional and statuary basis for this.

It would be a welcome change from the current method of using regulation and taxes to make them as unaffordable as possible.

yep, I first realized the world was slipping off it's axis was when the SC ruled that the municipality could take many houses so that someone else could build a more profitable mall.   Ironically the mall project failed and the developer and city are on the hook for their crime.    ironic justice.

The rest since then has been an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter existence.

Shit, I need to buy up the contracts for pop corn vending at all the municipal boat launches.    I could rent stadium seating, get NFL like rebroadcast rights.

I'll be MFn rich!

Ideally?  If you aren't bleeding out, you give the nice lady at the desk a check or credit card before you're seen, or you GTFO.

Dammit.  I don't own a boat, but if I were to buy one it would be a kayak.

If the government can force you to buy health care insurance, they can force you to buy a boat....or ANYTHING else..

Yeah...it's that stupid...

Not any more. I opted for a cheap high deductible plan through my employer years ago and ALWAYS came out ahead by paying out of pocket for rare doctor visits (even with 3 kids) compared to what the monthly rates of the "better" plan would have been. But now our insurance provider is dropping that plan because it doesn't meet ACA requirements. My family plan will probably be going up around $300 a month next year.

What if my boat has pre-existing conditions ?  Do I have to get another boat ?

Since I don't work or pay taxes, I can't afford a boat.

But thanks to the Affordable Boat Act, I can now get the boat that I need.

Owning a boat is a god given right.  Since the Government provided this boat, they are my new god.

I christen you the "SS BARRY"!

The affordable blowjob act can't be too far away I'm afraid. I have no doubt the government could ruin that even.
