If you're going to do it, go big or go home. Put that fucker right smack dab in the middle of the hood. |

JK, nice.
Needs 35's. Too much fender. Already has 4.10's and 4:1, so that's G2G. Oh, and sleeve the axle toobz so you don't get all sorts of crazy camber when stuff bends. (Unless they fixed that issue...) ETA: Wait, when did they go from 4.10 to 3.73 gears? From TJ > JK Rubi's? |
Take the "O" out of Rubicon and replace with BFL.
Nice Jeep. |
Awesome. Good job. You probably won't have to spend as much time working on it as I do my old CJ. |
I have an '07 Rubi 2 door soft top, 6 speed. Currently has a hair over 98k and it's still going strong. I'm due for a new one next year. That Anvil color is damn nice.

I'm more of a Landy guy myself but I do love Rubicons.
Sweet Jeep! |

Guy in our club has the 4 door Rubicon wiht 4.10s and Auto tranny. |

I'm jealous. Very nice Jeep OP. I looked at one just like that. I love those wheels. I'm still looking at Wranglers, haven't decided where I'm going to put my BFL yet either. The back window is the obvious choice, but once you take the top off, your BFL comes off with it, and there isn't enough exposed space on the back door/tailgate, as most of it is covered with the spare tire. I'm not sure what the diameter of the fuel door is, but if you can get one in the correct size, center it on the fuel door. That was something I was considering. Edited for typo. |
Quoted: That's what I was wondering. ALL TJ Rubi's came with 4.10s, and 4 bangers did also. Are you sure about those 3.73s OP? ETA, nice Heep BTW! Can't find anything on the window sticker that says one way or another. |

Put the BFL decal on the underside of the lift in your mechanic's garage. That's where you'll see it most.

Looks good!
Now shit-can half of it and put in new wheels and over sized tires, swap out front and rear diffs, new front and rear bumpers .... |
Nice Jeep, brother! I'm waiting on my granite crystal rubicon X to come in!
Gearing sounds wrong. Look for metal tag right on diff cover bolts that lists the gearing.
It should be 4.10s in a rubicon with Dana 44s front and back.
Eta, maybe I am wrong. Looks like you can get a rubicon with 3.73s. |
3.73 became standard for auto in Rubicons in 2012. 4.10s are available for most models as an add on individually or with the tow package. 4.10 came standard with Rubicons with manuals.

Quoted: Gearing sounds wrong. Look for metal tag right on diff cover bolts that lists the gearing. View Quote Will check that out. It was taching around 2300 rpms @ 70mph. I do know that much. I will say that it felt fine and didn't downshift often driving back up to VA from NC. No more than my F150 with a 6spd and 3.73's. |

AWESOME!
Welcome to the club got my commando green JKU Sport a few months ago.... Now you just need to learn the Secret Jeep Club Wave... |
My buddy has a black one a lot like yours. We were talking about axles the other day and he confirmed that you can option either 3.73's or 4.10's on Rubi's, which makes good sense for people that have to drive their jeeps on roads and don't have a trust fund to pay for gas.
I miss my old TJ occasionally, but I get 39mpg combined now. |

Also does anyone know where I could find a Don't Tread on Me spare tire cover?

Congrats! I want a jeep so fucking bad! I'm stuck with a..."Jeep" Patriot now. The wife liked it and the original agreement was get the patriot until her lease was up and then I get a Jeep... I may be stuck with the patriot now though...

Glad we did it that way now. |

Have a tire cover made with a bfl on it. Go loud and proud. Enjoy, my dad has been jeeping for years and we go every time I go back home.

MSRP was $39000 and change at the original dealer with stuff they installed there. MSRP from factory was $36,975. My price was $34,000 and change before TTL. You can go cheaper of course. I passed on another one with no options and a stick that was going to be $29,500 before TTL. |

I think a bare bones sport is in my future upgrading along the way
I am disapoint...I was expecting to see a MB, CJ2A, or some other classic Jeep with no top and all I got was a Rubicon for my trouble.
