I saw a lead one. It worked ok. Not near as big as the one the Dr does.

 



And the lead bends too easy and really had trouble holding its self up

I like the aluminum casting but this goes a bit further:



Casting aluminum into a fireant nest is about as much of a win-win as you'd find, though.

I've got a couple of those around here somewhere. I used to pure molten lead into ant hills when I was a teenager. It produces some really cool "coral" like sculptures. Not as big as those, but very cool. I think I'm going to do it again and show my daughter. She will love it.
