Don't drink the stuff, but that certainly would be a show stopper at a party.

Jack Daniels is rot gut bourbon. The only thing going for it is great marketing. Just like Jose Cuervo, piss ass tequila. Drink a man's bourbon such as:
Knob Creek Booker Baker Basil Hayden Pappy Van Winkle George T. Stag |

You are correct on that account, I just find Jack's product line to be underwhelming (especially Single Barrel for the price point). But, opinions are like assholes and yada yada. |

There are many people to which 10 g's is a couple day's earnings. I would be a pretty cool addition to the man cave.

The barrel is empty.
You get 250 bottles and an empty barrel on a skid. ETA- you can "buy the barrel" directly from Jack, possibly cheaper. Dickel also recently started a barrel program. |

Just because it's charcoal mellowed doesn't change anything. |

They used to fly you to the distillery in Lynchburg, and let you sample barrels to pick the one you wanted as part of that price. I guess that's not the case anymore?

Shits so bad they are trying to sell it in barrels now
Never did like jack. Wild Turkey and Weller but now that I have been turned on to the wonders of scotch fuck all that stuff I just finished my Christmas gift from the company a bottle of 18 year old laphroaig |

My Uncles did this a while ago with a 200l barrel of Old Gold Rum. It took them a few years to finish since they kept it at the family beach house.
think they paid $600 |

Tennessee whiskey is straight bourbon whiskey produced in Tennessee.[1][2][3] However, most current producers of Tennessee whiskey disclaim references to their products as "Bourbon" and do not label them as such on any of their bottles or advertising materials. Legally, bourbons can be made anywhere. The names of alcohol are actually strictly regulated. When JD came out with unaged Rye, they HAD to store it in Oak barrels at some point just to put Rye on the label. |

A. No, but 95 percent of the world’s Bourbon is - and we’d highly recommend it. A 1964 Congressional Resolution declared Bourbon an indigenous product of the United States, meaning it must be made in this country (hence the saying that Bourbon is “America’s Official Native Spirit”). In other words, no other country can make a product and call it “Bourbon.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bourbon_whiskey While it may be made anywhere in the United States, it is strongly associated with the American South in general, and Kentucky in particular. But then, we already knew that. |
