Let's hope it came complete with a lot of exploding panels and easily-blown circuits. It would look a lot better with a bunch of torn-out electrical cables hanging from the ceiling and rolling clouds of toxic smoke backlit by a nice control panel fire.

As a lifetime ET I was always amused by the sparks and smoke shooting out of all the incredibly sophisticated electronics and then all was fixed a few minutes later without replacing a single part. I've diagnosed and repaired or condemned hundreds of electronic boxes of various kinds that were damaged by lightning, and none of them was fixed in a few minutes without replacing parts or entire circuit boards and assemblies.

Alexander knows the FORMS of Star Trek...but not the substance.

Engines in full reverse, and the space bacteria is still pulling the ship in? Try forward thrust.

Killing terrorists in 140 countries and rising? Try letting them kill each other.

Duh.

That's not even a good looking Star Trek bridge.

I've seen better fan built ones.

As least if you are going to spend that much, make look good.

That looks like it was built at a Pep Boys.

I'd probably guess they're a lot more than that. The simple fabric HON chairs we have in our office are $600 a pop. We have leather conference room chairs that are over $1100+ retail.

It also needs to sit on a gimbal so it can rock back and forth and throw them around the "bridge".

OSHA wouldn't allow them to pipe a gas that burns hotter, is less stable and more radioactive than propane into a computer console.

So are the EPS taps and conduits right behind the panels, so that they explode really easy?

Of course the GOP will put an end to this, because they actually care about the constitution, right?

Right?

I love this quote.

“Any casual review of human history proves how deeply irrational it is to believe that powerful factions can be trusted to exercise vast surveillance power with little accountability or transparency,” he writes. “But the more they proudly flaunt their warped imperial hubris, the more irrational it becomes.”
