I agree, you are in my prayers. But enjoy your alone time. Half of life's pressures will be gone during the harsh Maine winter.

Took a ride with little Chewbacca this morning, trip to the dump & stock up on groceries.

Filed for unemployment, yay.  Mixed myself up a mug of Kahlua & Absolut, plan on getting shit-faced inebriated.

Cold here, going down to 14 tonight, possible storm heading this way Saturday.  Wintertime in Maine.

Thank you much for your concern JC, it is appreciated.  Home safe for the foreseeable future just me, the pups & copious amounts of booze, it's all good.  I'm a responsible drinker, if there really is such a thing.  PLEASE don't worry, MissB is way overdue for a bender of epic proportions.

Be careful MissB.  You don't want the big head in the morning.

I'm sorry about your job but something will turn up.  If I had a chance at a fresh start I'd be tempted to move down to the gulf coast of southern Florida.  It's nice and warm there and the fishing is good.  Of course that probably wouldn't have a positive effect on my drinking but I think I could manage.

So far I have reloaded for my AR with:

VihtaVouri N133 and N135

Varget

Yea I love the reloading, brass prep not so much. It really makes all the difference in paying for shooting, therefore more practice.  It took on a life of its own actually.

So yea looking forward to trying the TAC.  Powder is hard to find, especially pistol powder.  The first rifle powder I bought was 2 pounds of superformance, turns out that is worthless for my 223.  That was a good lesson.

I reloaded growing up, but now 25 years later I restarted and got my Lee starter kit.  The challenger press is not bad, the rest is the bare minimum.  But it suffices for now.

Its fun reloading for pistol too.  Yea I could go on all day, lol so I wont.

Here is my powder stash, looking forward to building it to the size of some of the other people on the site.

Too bad you aren't closer.

I have 28 pounds of Herco in the pantry I don't know what to do with.

At 7 grains a load...

1k shots per pound; 28 thousand rounds worth.
I need more primers.

I have enough lead to cast that many bullets, though. But I only have 15k of assorted primers.

ETA:
I bet I have over a hundred pounds of powder stashed here and there.

Drool....

Herco is good for everything I think, pistol round jack of all traids.
you have got to love the amount of rounds you can do with pistol powder.  I was very fortunate to pick up 2 pounds of Unique.  Im almost finished with one, but yea 28 pound your set for a long time.  I could shoot my 45 to the moon and back.  Oh yea.

Primers are everywhere here it seems.  I just finished a box of 1000 Winchester bench 7 1/2 small rifle primers.  I need to buy in bulk like you, I cant wait to have that much stuff someday.  It takes time, I will get there. I have been shooting a lot of 223, trying to get my AR shooting training up.  I burned through a lot of them this last year, ARs are just fun as hell to shoot.

Uhg that was a bad time to buy anything.  I feel for you buddy, that sucks you have everything but cant load.  Well at least you can deprime and have you brass cleaned, sized and reprimed, you will be a pro at that part.  I would be ordering some powder over the internet, if i was you.  I would be too impatient with the set up collecting dust.  Take a trip to Arizona we can get you hooked up.  You can see the Arizona crew.

Maybe send blue some donuts, MO and OH are not too far from each other.

The Herco came from getting stiffed on a group buy. Someone had a great 36 pound deal on it; went in with two other guys who both backed out.
I used one gallon (6 pounds) to pay my mechanic for some work.

Primers I buy bulk, over the net. Powder Valley Arms is a good place to find them.

Wish you were closer, Herco would be great for me. Good powder for .38 (but not target wadcutters) & .44 Special, .357 & .44 Mag., and .45 Colt.
Slightly slower than Unigue but faster than Blue Dot.

I haven't been shooting much in the last few years due to the illness, but I do love .45 ACP and Colt. .44s too.
It sounds like it's about the speed of AO, which I used a lot.

I have more than I would ever use; but no way I am getting into shipping it.

Those of you inclined, PLEASE say a prayer for M1.

He's been in the hospital since yesterday with abdominal pain.  They have done tests & this afternoon a bariatric doctor will tap into his stomach to remove fluid.  They don't seem to be sure what in the fuck is going on, whether the build up is blood or fluid & where or why it is accumulating.

Will update Sa/oU friends & family as soon as more info is available.

Sorry, no hate here, will have to recharge your batteries the old fashion way.

But hey, welcome, nice to have you stop by.

No 1st hand experience but pretty sure it will get worse before it gets better.  Hang in there.

It's just the beginning.  My girl hit them at three and hasn't outgrown them yet three years later.  Some days she really gets under my skin.  The boy is wild at 3 but overall he's a good kid.  A stern talking to is usually enough for him.

Good luck and don't let them see that they're getting to you.
