After seeing all 5 movies, I have come to the conclusion that there was only one Die Hard movie ever made...The one from 1988.

Anyone know if there will be a 6th movie in the franchise?

Die Hard =

Die Hard 2 =

Die Hard with a Vengeance =

Live Free or Die Hard =

A Good day to Die Hard =

Die Hard 6 ? =

They should have quit after 3.

Die Hard was great and Die Hard with a Vengeance would have been great without all the stupid Samuel Jackson racist shit, it had no place in the movie.

ETA (Quote) "I think that you can't start to pick apart anything out of the Bill of
Rights without thinking that it's all going to become undone," Willis
told The Associated Press in a recent interview while promoting his
latest film, "A Good Day To Die Hard." "If you take one out or change
one law, then why wouldn't they take all your rights away from you?"

"No one commits a crime because they saw a film. There's nothing to
support that," Willis said. "We're not making movies about people that
have gone berserk, or gone nuts. Those kind of movies wouldn't last very
long at all."

Willis added that he doesn't see how additional legislation could prevent future mass shootings.

"It's a difficult thing and I really feel bad for those families," he
said. "I'm a father and it's just a tragedy. But I don't know how you
legislate insanity. I don't know what you do about it. I don't even know
how you begin to stop that."

I liked 1 & 2. Sort of like the one with Samuel Jackson after seeing it a few times. I haven't seen the latest one yet but the one before it was just plain dumb.

The last one did not seem like a Die Hard movie to me. It was fine as an action flick, just not the right Die Hard feel.

The original was the best by far, especially when you saw it in the theater wayyyyy back then.

Loved the first one - it was almost plausible watching an every-man caught up in a holy shit scenario and frantically doing what he could.

Then, because the whole thing is predicated on that, the entire chain sucked balls because each subsequent movie crapped upon the idea of every-man as he kept running into more implausible plots, doing more super-human things, and facing ever-more ridiculous and physics-defying situations.

If there had never been Die Hard, the other movies might have worked...but it set ruined the rest by being awesome.

If I only watched movies from pro-gun folks in Hollywood, there would be about 3 movies to watch. Sucks.

I just bought the set and just finished the 2nd movie. The first is awesome, but the second one is pretty good. #3 is only OK. I thought #4 was pretty good. Haven't seen the new one yet.

The first was the best, the second pretty much sucked, I enjoyed the 3rd and 4th, nothing great but watchable.    I haven't seen the 5th yet, seems fucking stupid

I rather enjoy Samuel Jackson's angry black man schtick.

1 & 3 are my favorites.  2 is a decent popcorn flick.  4 was not memorable for me and I haven't seen 5 yet.

The sixth movie is already in production. Bruce Willis fights his way through terrorists to the pharmacy for little blue pills in Live Limp or Die Hard.

I think it is just as good, but better? Nah.
They both have been my go to Christmas movies for over 20yrs.

First is the best.
Second is good as long as you don't think about it too much.
Third sucked at first, but it has grown on me.
Fourth was decent.
Fifth, haven't seen yet, but will pick up the BluRay.

Great video done by a group called Guyz Nite. Check out the youtube page for their soon to be classic, Cockblock.

When the studio found out, rather then get the douchbag lawyers involved to sue over copywrite BS, they called up the band and hired them to do a 4th verse and official music video. I found it on the DVD special features for Live Free or Die Hard.

I now present to you the Ballad of John McClane

Die Hard and Gremlins are two of the best Christmas movies of the 80s.

Die Hard with a Vengeance is an OK sequel.

The other ones all pretty much sucked.

The last one felt like a video game, but made less sense.

Just watched the new one.

Wasn't as bad as I expected, but it is the weakest one by far.
Didn't even really feel like a Die Hard movie. Decent action flick, though.
Worth a Redbox rental.

It would have been a lot better had John McTiernan directed it.

I like Die Harder, but it really needed a better director.

Watch them all but the one with Maggie Q makes all of the others just

Like all sequels they just take the special effects or story line to the ridiculous, the jet scene was just  dick and the writer, director and producer should be curb stomped for putting that in there. Probably the same dipshits who had a terrorist hanging from a wing of a Harrier jet in the Arnold movie.

I am waiting on my delivery of AGDTDH this afternoon if the weather hold out.
