Another one of them "both sides at fault" types.
And for the record, the majority of Rehoboth Police are pretty scummy. Shouldn't be too surprising since they are in liberal DE. Lots of "I'm the only one professional enough to shoot myself in the foot" types there. |

It's Delaware, and that was totally over the top on the part of the police. The guy drunk or not. I am well aware of what happens in the beach areas and the cops down there are for the most part over reactive and confrontational. |

That shit went on way too long. I would have pounced his ass from the get go. She should play that video for the kid so it can see what a douche it has for a dad. Oh and boot kick was bad. |

Taser must be low on batteries or something because that was sad even for a drive stun. That kick to the head probably cost the cop his job though. That's what I was wondering - he was complaining about being tased while it was happening, and seemed more pissed off than stunned. Cops need to get a refund on that taser. Edited: Can't spell |

Actually beat the shit out of him with your Asp, or tackle him on the cement banging his head on the curb. Absent going hands on, the taser is a logical response. He's already proven he isn't going to comply, he verbally threatening and abusive, and probably has some fight in him. I have no problem with the taser, except it didn't work. Poor use of the taser.
Anytime I've deployed my taser, the juice stops only when the bad guy is going into cuffs. We don't tase, have a chat, drive tase, chat some more... You can see in the video that when you cut the current, it gives the tasee the ability to dislodge the prongs. But...other than the time the bad guy head butted the officer's shoe, I don't see excessive force. Just poorly trained officers. |

When you look at that the cop is probably lucky that he didn't connect better with that. He was flat out trying to stomp on that guys head after he had his hand clear and had stood up. If he would have really hurt the guy that wouldn't have been good. Of course the cop looks pretty small anyway so who knows how badly he would have gotten the guy. Looked like one motion... pull-hand-back-and-stomp. You have to stand up before you can stomp very well. It's hard to get your body putting that much force into two movements in two different directions. Look at where his body is when he starts to stomp downward. Totally unnecessary at that point. |

Has Cops always been this bad or is it YouTube that is just now bringing it to light of day? Just in the last few years, after seeing LOTS of these type of videos on line, I'm flat out scared of the police. ALL OF THEM. I cant stop thinking about the two ladys delivering papers in LA. 108 shots into their truck. It was the wrong color, wrong model, and the wrong MANUFACTURER! Never thought I would see the day when the US felt like 1940 Germany. |

1. Goofball is on his knees being arrested when he satnds up and gets tazed. 2. He takes his jacket off to remove the taser barbs, 3. One hand is cuffed and he pulls the other hand away. 5. Grabs Officer's hand that is holding the taser. 6. @5.04 it looks like he bites the Officer's hand and the Officer gives a weak kick to the head that looks like a glancing blow. 7. The kick wasn't effective. The idiot keeps foaming at the mouth. There is no broken skin, bleeding, or any other marks. [/quote] Y'know, I saw the same thing. Monday morning is the best time to judge peoples actions, always. None of us were in their shoes at that time, so......Maybe we would have handled this differently, maybe not. And as far as "Harpy", paperwork for an 8 month preggo is not worth it. |

He didn't kick him in the face. He tried to stabilize his head by holding it down with his foot. Not the optimal method, but I had an old school officer tell me once that the best way to touch a suspects head is with a baton or a shoe since you have a good chance of getting bitten. He wasn't saying hit or kick them, just that if you have to hold someone's head down on the ground, use something that can take a bite and not end up with you missing a body part. Bullshit. The point you are missing is that if the officers had acted decisively to take dude under control, the boot or kick or whatever you want to call it would not have been necessary. |

I comprehend that things happened before the video started that none of us saw. I also comprehend that the man was drunk off of his ass. It seems reasonable to me that when the guy starts acting like maybe he is heeding your directions despite an inability to fully comprehend them and follow them to the letter, maybe it would pay to wait 10 seconds before blasting him with a taser. Unless there's a specific reason to blast him with the taser. Was this the last few seconds of a 10 minute battle to get him to come quietly? If so, sure I can see using the taser being reasonable. But instantly tasing him the nano-second he puts his hands behind his head because you specified behind his back seems unreasonable, absent other info. Maybe I just wasn't "trained to win" like some. |
