my new carbines around 9.5 LBS
I didn't think it was bad, but now I'm wondering...

I have one that probably weighs 12 pounds. Another one is probably 6.5 pounds. No crap on it.

I suppose it doesn't matter what it weighs so long as you can hold it and shoot it well.

My 16in with MOE hand guards and a cheap red dot is about 7lbs 4oz unloaded.

My 18in SPR barrel with a 3-9x40 scope is about 10lb 3 oz unloaded.

I would imagine a LB or two is in the scope/mounts so an 8-9lb gun with a normal rail is probably around normal, maybe just slightly heavy.

I've been getting used to my 15 lbs .308 AR with 20" heavy barrel.

Next is going to be a real short SBR (tax stamped) in .300 whisper.

I'm guessing about 35 pounds?! No, it's not mine. My ligtest carbine is just over 7 pounds loaded with a 20-round mag and my Comp HBAR is 10.5 pounds.
