Well at least thats what I have noticed over the past few years. I am personally in the middle when it comes to Glocks. I like them , they shoot well , they have a reputation for being durable , and I own 4 of em (17 , 19 , 21 , 26). The only thing I can find wrong with them is that they are butt ugly. I just don't "love" them. Now a 1911 , there is true love , but we won't get into that.
Just curious how GD feels about Glocks in general? How many are like me and can live without Glocks , but do not despise them like some people do. Poll inbound. |

In before the ultimate koolaid drinking fanboy, DanTSX.
ETA: Seriously, you've become a member, and you couldn't use the search function? Weaksauce. DO penance by cleaning and shooting the hell out of a real man's pistol, the 1911.

I'm a fan, every time I buy another brand I regret it later. Bought a kel Tec one time and wished I didn't.
Great accuracy, mooshy trigger, uncomfortable grip for me. No frills gun to just go bang.
It's definitely the Honda Accord of the gun world. I'd be happy for a $300 new one, but some people pay stupid money on them. |
I was very dissapointed in my pistol shooting skills until i picked up a gen 4 glock 19. |
I've had a Glock 22C for almost 3 weeks, about 300 rounds thru it and I love that sumbitch
I like the fact that I can throw it down the driveway and not feel bad about it. Just a tool in the box.

1911s- favorite gun to shoot at the range
Glocks- favorite gun to carry all day ETA: if I could only own one handgun, it would be a Glock 19. |
I like mine. It fits my hand perfectly but it smacks me in the face with brass when shooting 115gr ammo.
I have three of them but I wouldn't exactly say I love them. They are good handguns but I do tend to shoot my CZ75 and 92FS more
I love glocks, great pistol that has been a benchmark for a long time. I think other designs are better but glocks still get it done.
I'm the same way. I appreciate the proven reliability and effectiveness as a fighting gun but they don't butter me up. I voted like.
I love both of my Glocks.
By far the best firearm you can get if you can only have one to protect yourself, and/or loved ones with. (In my opinion) I have a love for a nice reliable 1911 too. |
The first gun I ever shot was a trade-in G22 Gen 3. Fast forward a few years and now I have a Gen 4 G22, G23, G27 and love them all.
I own 4 of them. I love them, I only wish I could show them more love, but there's an ammo shortage in full effect.
I own a Glock 17, can't say I hate it but it does not really tickle my fancy either.
I used to dislike them. Now i realize it's the singer not the song, and i could use one if i had to.
Since options exist that I can use well and are at or near the same reliability, I just use them. |
Have to fit it in its class of firearms as a double action only semi-automatic pistol it's the best right now.
The trigger is just the best in terms of stock pull and reset. I don't personally find them to be bad in terms of ergonomics. The aftermarket support for it is insane and second to none. Sure, there are things you can complain about, but the negatives to other pistols are more substantial to me. Great trigger, low muzzle flip, and insane aftermarket support. Good stuff. |

Had both, liked both. Had a G22 and as SA 1911 GI. Both too small for my hands. Got bit pretty good by the Glock, still have the scar from 2 yrs ago. I have to use my XDM and STI Edge for shooting now.

I like Glocks, I carry a G26. They're great guns. But I don't engage in the "this gun is awesome, that gun sucks" war that goes on between the fanboys of various platforms. I don't hate one gun because I love another. It's just another option and as far as I'm concerned, the more options we have to choose from, the better.

A functional pistol, that's all. Has the ergonomics of a brick, but they fit the average shooter.
Not much of a fan personally. Had a 17. I still have a 20SF to fill the 10mm niche. |
The concept is great. They just didn't improve the concept after Gen1.
Now S&W, THEY improved the concept. M&P FTW! |
Prior to 2000 I carried a wheelgun as a duty weapon, the only other option was the Glock 17/19
So I carry the Glock as a matter of necessity, I own the 19 and the 26 Love everything except the ergos of the grip frame, the trigger reset is awesome |
No correct answer in poll.
Glocks are garbage, AK's are awesome. I'm forced into abstention. |
I don't have any. I don't know that I don't like them I just don't like the feel of them in my hands. Feels like a block of wood to me. I know they shoot anything and just go and go. To each his own I guess. I certainly wouldn't buy one just because everyone else like them.

I like all guns.
I just prefers others over Glocks according to my own tastes. |
Have a G19 and G26 now.
Have owned upto 5 at one time in the past, including G17's and a G30. I'm in the camp where I honestly don't think they're the safest choice for carry. Perfer a hammer style gun, or at least a striker fired with a safety. |
First Glock I shot turned me off to them for ten years. It was a gen 2 G23 and I think it was a combo of me being a noob and it being a .40, a caliber that I still dislike. Then I drank the SIG coolaid, until I got some training and started carrying at first for just CCW and then for work. Grabbed a G17 on a deal that I couldn't pass up. Haven't looked back since. All I carry are 9mm Glocks.

Like the gun, hate the ergonomics. M&P FTMFW!!! Shittiest trigger reset on any striker fired pistol, without a trigger job. M&Ps are just blah to me. |

I think they are ugly as fuck, uncomfortable, and their triggers suck, but they are cheap & reasonably accurate & reliable with good mag capacity.
Guess I'm in the middle. Only reason I wanted one was the cheap threaded barrels for supressors though. It would be near my last choice to carry out of many handguns. |

They're ugly. Agreed but what does that have to do with anything? We are talking about pistols, not buying a purse to go with your shoes. |

In before Dan.
Don't like them, but don't hate them either. I tried one, don't plan to buy one. |
