Going to need more info on this one. I don't know a lot of people that drive around with a loaded rifle in the front seat obviously looking for trouble.
|
|
More guns in society, these things will happen.
By that I mean shit bag or not, with the recent surge of buying even those person who may or may not have bought a gun, will be in the surge of buyers. We'll probably hear of a lot more accidental shootings (from inexperienced shooters) Media bias aside. Glad the officers were able to put him where he belonged. |
|
I'm not getting "rifle" out of this-
Police referred to the gun as a semi-automatic.
|
|
Most likely a pistol seeing how the cops were both shot but both survived.
|
|
"assault rifle" was on the Facebook post of the tv station.
WKYC in Cleveland. |
|
Wait... You mean to tell me that the media tells EVERYONE that an ar-15 is the most deadliest weapon conceived and people start using it to commit crimes?
If the media reported that flowers killed without question this world would be a prettier place. Prayers be with the victims Edited AFTER I read the story |

Hope the officers make a full recovery.
As for the idiot who drew down on them, adios, mother fucker. Play stupid games. ETA: The words "assault rifle" do not appear anywhere in that linked article. |
|
Serious need of thread headline change. It states "they were shot at a traffic stop by a semi auto", that does not mean AR15. Also, you need to lose the Assault Rifle shit out of your vocabulary, it is incorrect to call a semi auto rifle an Assault Rifle. Get with the program, or just plain ole get out.

Does the helicopter ride for a hand injury sound overkill to anyone else?

Does the helicopter ride for a hand injury sound overkill to anyone else? Not necessarily. It could have been an arterial bleed they got under control. |

I read the article and the term "Assault Rifle" was not used. The term "Semi-Automatic" rifle was used. Lets not give them any help. There is enough misuse of terminology out there without us helping them.
Edit: It may be on the Facebook page as stated above but it is not in the article. If I did not know better I would associate "Assault Rifle" and "Semi-Auto Rifle". not busting your chops but we have to be careful and call things what they are. The left is fear mongering with their terms. |

Life flight.
For a hand wound. Oh yeah. Last year that Sheriff said citizens should arm themselves and not rely on police. |

Statmedivac. is based at Geauga Co. airport in Middlefield (7G8). It's only a minute or two down the road. Its a 45-50 min ride to Cleveland trauma centers. |

Life flight. For a hand wound. I'm used to you guys MMQB the cops, you going after the EMS guys now? Possible Loss of life, eyesight, limb or extended transit time, You get a helicopter. It's not hard to figure out. |

So the shooter drove away after shooting the cops? Vague story is vague.

Quoted: I'm not getting "rifle" out of this- Police referred to the gun as a semi-automatic. "Police referred to the gun as a semi-automatic rifle" Thats is what they wrote But what is mistaken is police never referred to it as an assault rifle in that story OP is misleading |

Quoted: horrible way to meet ones maker... Thoughts and prayers http://carlysonenclar.org/images/signature.jpg They aren't dead. One officer was hit in the hand and the other was hit with 'shrapnel" |

Dem Geauga County Amish is a rough crowd. When I first saw the article, I thought something like that. I used to go to a bar in Middlefield. Lots of Amish with beards there. |

Thank G-D, the officers are ok and that dirtbag that drew on them was dealt with appropriately. No jail, trial, public defender etc....

Does the helicopter ride for a hand injury sound overkill to anyone else? Not if they thought it would be possible she'd lose the hand otherwise. |

FYI, The Sheriff in Geauga County is VERY pro Second Amendment. I saw the early reports of this being an "assault rifle" on WKYC channel 3 and 19 Action News. It now says semi automatic rifle. I am sure Dan has sent out a release keeping this focused on what it was, a loon shooting a semi auto rifle at cops.

Guys, it's about 45-50 mins. to the closest level one trauma center (Metro). The helo is based 2 mins down the road and makes it a 10 mins ride WITH a flight nurse and flight paramedic. All your fine motor skills are in your hand. Trust me you don't have trauma micro surgeons in Geauga.

The story you linked only referred to the weapon as a "semi automatic rifle"
I'm glad the officers are going to be ok John |
