That was me last year I got the guns so why not. This year im going to try to do a bit better +1 I embarrassed myself last year Rockcastle is weird... it's a legit "final", however a shit ton of people show up to it as their first 3gun competition and fuck it up for the higher-up AMs. However the prizes are tits Didnt know we were in the presence of a 3gun god BOW DOWN YOU FUCKERS. AND BRING ME A BEER AND A CIGAR. BOTH HAD BETTER BE IMPORTS. You run a lot of matches then? Nope. |

Period 3gun sounds like it would be a shit-ton of fun. Lever rifle, single action revolver and coach gun Bolt gun, double action revolver, trench gun (with bayonet) Garand (or comparable semi-auto), 1911 (or comparable pistol), pump shotgun M14/A1/AK/FAL/G3, 1911/Makarov/BHP, 870 A2/AK74, M9/Makarov, 870/500 There's a "heavy iron" category for some matches. You need to run a .308 rifle, 12 gauge pump shotgun, and 45 ACP <usually single stack> pistol. However, with a lever or bolt action you will not be competitive and your scores will be down with the people with multiple technical fouls. It may be fun to do once or twice (assuming you're an amazing 3gun shooter) but showing up to a 5-stage competition with a bolt gun, taking par+5 minutes to complete each course and getting penalties for not hitting the 400 yard target = "that was fun once.. no wait it wasn't." I appologize as I missed the reference to period 3gun stuff when I first read it... I'm just commenting about some of the people I've seen trying to run WWII era stuff in modern competitions. Anywho, there are period competitions. Cowboy 3-gun is a real thing that has a small but rabid following. Folks like to dress in period costume for it as well. There is also gangster 3-gun/sub gun competition focusing mainly on Tommy gun shoots. |

I know this may be silly, but what do people run at those matches? Ive watched some videos...educate me. run what? Guns. How much ammo ect, I have no clue. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/Iron_Airship/2012-08-31_17-27-34_179.jpg Thats what I took. AR, 870, and 9mm pistol. 100rds of each ~ish. I had a great time finishing in the bottom 80%~ish Guns i used (substitute the 92a1 for a FNX9) http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee457/winjefj/IMAG0266_zpsc2abd1e8.jpg Belt and gear http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee457/winjefj/IMAG0269_zps00176fdf.jpg And you had a 1-4 like most people. Unlike most people I had an ACOG, and unlike most people I looked cool as shit doing well on the one stage where we shot at any distance. I had an ACOG on my AR for the first year. It was pretty impractical for most things and I ended up point shooting most targets, for better or for worse. But there was one stage with IIRC 4 steel targets ranging from 100-400 yards. It took me 5 shots to ring them all Nice If i have the time and $ before the matches start this year im going to put togther a 18" upper, otherwise ill run it with my M4gery and eotech |

I don't like to compete to WIN, I like to compete to have fun. If I can outperform someone, using obsolete equipment, I consider it fun See my apology post. But..... shooting to win is the whole point of shooting. Or doing anything for that matter. |

I think if I could understand the original instead of watching the dubbed over English version, Exiled would have been even better.
Bad dialogue isn't the end of the world but that could the a result of the translation. |

When I play Battlefield 3, I don't necessarily play with the intent of winning the match. If there are many snipers present on the other team, I will make it my objective to kill each one of them in a fun, exciting way, usually involving high explosives and jets or jeeps.
