Was the chinese ban an executive order or a law passed by the legislature?

Trade agreement with China in 1993 by Billy Clinton IIRC.

Import ban was on rifles and pistols, but they can import shotguns

Took a long time for anyone to figure this out.

So Century is importing Chinese mag fed AKs in 12 gauge.
Yes they are.

Two models, one like a Vepr with mag well and straight push mag insertion
One like a Saiga with rock in the mag

They plan on blowing them out cheap to slap the shit out of the Russians and take
the market away from them.......

But they don't take Russian mags...........

Think mine shipped today..............

What is the mag availability going to be like???

Rumor mill price is $700 for Fury, $750 for Fury II.

I'd like to see them much cheaper. Priced like the Saiga-12 was when they were first being imported. Sub $300.

Guess we will see.

I think those days are way over... But I like where your head's at.

A man can dream. If they are going to blow them out when they first  go on the market I am betting it will be cheaper. They are going to have to do something to get folks to buy a Saiga clone with a propriatry magazine.

Hmmm...Mid November I paid $640 for a "Sporter" stocked Saiga....which was about the going rate, here in NJ at least...they're gonna gave to drop that a touch if they really want to affect the Saiga market..especially with the huge amount of Support and aftermarket parts for Saigas.

Yeah, that's what I figured.  So much for pushing Saiga out of the market, they're barely even competing.  They better bring something to the table at those prices, like dirt cheap mags.

I'm hoping the rumored price is based on the current panic.

Now listed in the Century Arms catalog: http://www.centuryarms.biz/proddetail.asp?prod=SG1874%2DN

$700 for Fury, $750 for Fury II that I posted above was what a guy on the Saiga-12 forum looked up with his C&R. Intro price is going to have to be lower, esp with a propreitery magazine.

That's a pretty rediculously high price, considering you can buy a brand-new-in-the-box Norinco M14 in Canada for under $500.

Well, heres what it looks like in the box

Here are a few closer views

The mag is all plastic and is kinda hard to get to set in right. I do like the fixed sights on top...kinda cool.

Havent shot it yet, just had it dropped off by the man in the brown truck.

Thanks for posting this!

1. How does it compare to a Saiga-12?
2. Can you confirm that the magazines are proprietary?
3. What did you pay?

I don't have a saiga mag to check, but they do look different.....just not sure how much. I've only shot a Saiga a couple times, but this seems to have a bit looser tolerances...even for an AK. Still...it looks like it would be a blast to shoot. It has an adjustable gas system so it should work with both heavy and light loads. The fixed sights are pretty cool, they were a great idea for a shotgun like this. It comes with 2 mags, Century will be getting more in but they don't have them yet. No idea on price.

As to cost...I've got this one listed up on Gunbroker for $750, I did a search on there and it looks like there is only one other one listed at this time.

Picked up my Fury II yesterday, and started on the conversion.
Started with a Sahttp://s33.photobucket.com/user/Ken41/media/FuryIIStock_zps03628a74.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0iga 308 US stock. The factory stock is retained with a
bolt thru the stock. The 308 stock is hollow, so it will not be a
problem fitting it up. The 308 stock had to be shortened up to fit up
against the stock retaining block in the receiver. That's as far as I
got today. The trigger guard is spot welded. I'll drill out the spot
welds. Looks like the Tapco trigger assembly will work. The cutout for
the pistol grip nut is there.

So much fail in one post, I don't know where to begin.  How about you not try and make your font size 33, and just post the pictures???
Lemme help you with the pics before someone has an aneurism.

I sold mine right quick on Gunbroker. It was pretty sloppy build...well...and to be honest I dont like AK's anyway. If larger mags were available...then maybe.
