Sounds good to me.

We all now have Personal Defense Weapons so now no one needs an assault weapon.

DHS's PDW

Now we can keep our PDW's since no one in Congress is talking about a Personal Defense Weapon ban.

Fending for, or heaven forbid, defending yourself is just a shade from terrorism these days.

Self sufficient people store food, live within their means, and procure implements to defend their life and liberty.

These traits do not help inflate the GDP or transfer power to the federal government.

It is your civic duty to rely on government for all things. To resist is to deny your fellow subjects social justice.

Now, this ought to cause a shit storm in GD, if people read the article. After all, there is a huge contingent here who says " NO it fucking doesn't"

Not professional enough. Only government approved employees qualify to use officially designated terms. In civilian hands it is an 'assault weapon'. In government hands GOOD. In civilian hands BAD.

This is a point I have always tried to hammer home when arguing with antis. In .gov's hands, it's a PDW, but in our hands it's a bullet spewing WMD whose sole purpose is to mow down as many people as quickly as possible. Such a double standard.

DHS and its components have a requirement for a 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm

This is an actual Assault Rifle not being called an Assault Rifle, but a Personal Defense Weapon.

Yet semi-automatic rifles which are not selective fire are called "Assault Weapons" and routinely called Assault Rifles as well.

This is so ridiculously Orwellian it's not even funny.
