Well if you want to demonstrate that guns are not the problem, best way to do it would be an incident that did not involve guns and used easily obtainable supplies...
Just sayin' |

Didn't the Keystone Cops have an exercise like that once? There are ways to run these people ragged and reduce their ability to respond. Just embrace your inner ahole and be creative. If two douchebags can keep the capital of the most powerful nation in the world in complete terror for an entire month, they can expect that to be childs play with some of the people I have come across here...

In reali life confrontations between US military (RA, NG, etc) how many unarmed civlians have been killed by US citizens?
In real life confrontations between US military (RA, NG, etc) how many armed military personnel have been killed by armed civilians? Just curious what the score is. Maybe they don't really need much practice. |

There's no cause for alarm -- this is just a drill! The mock disaster training exercise is being done with Scioto County first responders and the Ohio Army National Guard 52nd Civil Support Unit. Seems like standard training to me. Maybe you should focus more on the problem at hand in your state than sometraining happening in my state. |

Let's focus on some dumb exercise that isn't going to materialize. |

Haven't read the whole thread, so excuse me if this has been asked. Why do they have to include a motive in their drills? Seems like just training for the event would be enough.

If they wanted it more realistic, they should have had a disgruntled school Janitor, putting together a 100 kiloton Nuclear Device in his Broom Closet.

Oh God. If someone had the means and ability to get biologics they aren't going to release them randomly into bumfuck Ohio. They'd go after political targets. PC crap. "White terrorists would be just like muslim terrorists hurr durr."

I think an ATF office getting McVehighed in response to some unconstitutional acts is more likely than someone using VX, Anthrax, and a nuke on their neighbors. Edit:But I'm not some gov terrorism expert or a terrorist so what the fuck do I know? |

EVERY contingency is trained for. Not a big deal. Shit like this has been trained for years and years. It is nothing new. I remember doing a few of those, though ours were pretty pedestrian bus crash thingies. Our budget was volunteers who said it hurts when you touched where the leg was supposed to be broken, or said their pulse was 110 and they weren't responding. Which, I think, led to one of the trauma patients getting a red tag that said "LSD overdose." As to coordinating with the other emergency services in the town, there seemed to be an unwritten rule against that. Actually, there were four agencies, and each one had its own charter, so there must have been four unwritten rules against it since they probably couldn't agree on how they would not cooperate with each other, too. |

Last time it was "Christian zealots". What about just using crazy people? Since somebody actually mentioned it, one of the two MCIs that I actually went to was a nursing home where janitor A poured bleach down the drain and janitor B poured ammonia down the other drain. There were around 20 evacs, although only one or two of them were serious and none were fatal. The other one was a ceiling collapse in a movie theater. It was an plaster, decorative ceiling, not the whole roof. Fortunately there was hardly anybody in there because it wasn't a good movie, and the worst injury was a collarbone fracture. There had been a few bad ones in the year before that, but not in our area. You could taste the adrenaline when they toned that one out. |

its true,
i've got my FEMA OPS binder and jack boots polished to a high gloss get in the train car Maggot!!" real answer: My BDE does this training ALL THE TIME. as a Joint task force in cooperation with the Air National Guard, we're responsible for operations in and around ground zero of major disasters like katrina, Hatti, 9-11, OKC, etc. in conjunction with local EMS and FEMA, part of this joint task force is made from multiple agencies including Homeland Response Force(HRF) and CBRNe Element Response Force Packet(CERFP) and CST(civilain support team). we can provide emergency medical triage, chemical decontamination, criminal investigations and Emergency Search and Rescue and can fill in for relief to Emergency first responders involved in major operations like a Katrina. we had a big collective event with about 4 other agencies up in fort bragg earlier during the year..even civilians could participate. dial down your INFOWARS, the tinfoil is magnifying your interference. |

A majority of the MSM propagandizes on behalf of said initiatives and ideas, using ad infinitum the word "confiscation," and even publicly calls for the murder of several Second Amendment proponents. The "government" of the second largest state in the USA passes a measure greatly infringing on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms for its residents and video is even exposed showing that the true intent of the legislation is confiscation of lawfully held privately owned weapons.
