I need a new bottle opener for my keys. Before I get 87 responses of "DILLO!" I'm looking for something smaller.

Anyone try one of the key shaped ones?

What I'd really like is one just like the opener on a Swiss Army or Boy Scout knife as they are small and work very well.

I HAVE THIS on my keys every day.  The clip acts as the bottle opener.  I am thinking about putting my Dillo on my key chain also though.

Yeah, I know how to google bottle opener but I'd like to buy one that actually works. I've got about three that don't work for shit and was hoping for some recommendations one ones that someone had used.

Just use your key. Any hard flat object will do.

Sorry bud, but if a Dillo is to big to fit in your pocket your pants are way to tight.

But I guess you could use this

Pocket knife handle or base of a Bic lighter.  Haven't used an opener in years.

I use the spine of my knife quite often.

I drink a ton of beer (virtually none of them twist-offs), and never carry a bottle opener.  Crazy, I know, right?

I do have a Chimay-branded opener on my work keys, but just because it's baller.  I'm not sure I've ever used it.

The spine of my EDC knife (Benchmade 710 in M390) is rounded so the knife method doesn't work.

Does not compute.

Open knife, Hold bottle in left hand, place left index finger at base of bottle cap, turn blade spine side to your finger and insert between finger and cap.  Apply upward pressure with left index finger while twisting knife down and away from bottle with right hand.

EZPZ.

The spine of the blade is rounded, so instead of wedging under the lip of the cap and prying it off, it just rolls out.

I gave them to my two brothers 3 Christmas's ago.  We have all used them enough to warrant a fault. There has been none. I like it because it sits like a normal key on my ring of other keys and unused shit i have piles on my rings.

Yes, but can't get on a plane with a pocket knife.  It would be nice to have something that can fit on your keychain and not get you swarmed by TSA goons.

You can use that to open a bottle. Use the side of the knife or use a lighter.
