So the panic has really made a splash in the gun world.

I found this article a little bit ago and its impressive and explanatory of the situation.

Brownells sells 3.5 years worth in 36 hours...

brownells:
“To shed some more light on the magazine situation at present, it really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days. During a roughly the 36 hour period from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening we sold the ‘average demand’ equivalent of about 3.5 years worth of PMAGS, and and an even greater amount of our Brownells magazines. We’re working like crazy to get these orders to you as quickly as possible.”

insane...

so will the mighty $$$ speak louder than the shrieks from cali cunts and wall -nuts and white house butts???

People at local gunstore today were Nuts.

A girl was trying to stock the shelf with aluminum usgi mags.

She'd bring a box of 100 and open it up, and then get surrounded. People grabbing 5 to 12 at a time. Box after box. She was moving very quickly but could not keep up.

It was kinda cool. Kinda surreal.

Its a good thing. I just hope new shooters are getting stuff, and not a few.  Firearms is one area where I agree with distributing the wealth.

I'm not sure how you could quantify this, but the thought occurs that one of the most anti-gun socialist presidents in U.S. history is presiding over the largest civilian arms build-up in the history of mankind. Seriously. When else in human history have so many millions of firearms, hundreds of millions of mags, and billions of rounds of ammo been acquired by a civilian population in 4 years?

The irony is delicious.

My friend's shop will probably do as much this week as he has traditionally one in a quarter. I was there tonight, since Election Day the shop has sold more than 500 ARs. He might have had six left.

This is a total buy the shelves clean rip roarin carnivore chewed the bones event unlike Any Ive ever seen and ive seen quite a few.
this wont be restocked next week or next month this thing has totally cleared out the supply chain
This feels like musical chairs the music has stopped, you gots what you gots.
Im sorry 7k for pmags is fuxkin insane.  Thats not a investment IMHO
Just make do with what you have.
If all you have is a 10-22 and a half a brick make do.
When supply comes back in amunition it wont be more $than this IMHO it might be the same but not more.
Ifyou had no p-mags I could see buying one for $70 but 100?
Every ar-15 in the supply chain and every ar-15 magazine just got sold in 3 days.Either sell or sit tight i would not be buying anything firearm related here.

I don't understand.

If our elected officials are to vote the will of their constituents, and the majority of their constituents are for no AWB and buying guns and magazines at a record pace, then our elected officials would have to vote against any AWB, right?

Isn't that the the government works.

A senator's reply:
You don't necessarily vote the will of your constituents. Listen Senator, the NRA gave you $1,000 last election. Vote for this AWB, and as head of the finance committee, I will make sure the National Park in your state gets a new observatory, we'll fund  that statue of your dad, and I'll hire your mistress as my campaign aide.

Or, vote against it and maybe they will give you $5,000 next year.

I'm coming back into state in 48 hours.  I have a pre-94 M1A waiting for me at a shop... and I think it will be odd to walk in and find it is the only thing in the store.

I went to Cabela's today and all that was left were two sub-compact Glock mags and three Beretta PX4 .45 mags.

Three people buying AR's with two or three left on the rack and countless others buying harder to identify (too many people to see) firearms.

With everyone buying guns, you would think this must be hurting sales of other items.. there shoul dbe some good sales on other shit soon I hope, outdoor gear, tools, really anything...all the stuff that people would have been buying but they dumped thousands into firearms instead...

With the way prices sky rocket on "soon to be banned" or "banned" items, I'm not entirely sure a lot of the people doing the buying are buying due to their love of their firearm rights.  I think there are a lot more of these people buying things up to make a quick buck or two if a ban is introduced than people realize.

I've had more than a couple guys I work with ask if they knew where to get something or another when the same people used to ask my why I "needed" an AR.  They just want to buy it, keep it for a month, and sell it for 3x what they paid for it.

Firearms retailers have an opportunity to do something meaningful.

- Offer a discount on proof of NRA, NSSF, SAF, or other 2A support membership, or application for such

- Charge 25% more for non-membership, and donate part of the proceeds to a pro-2A organization.
