I was just offered a DSA SA58 with 4 magazines and a top rail on it for $1100.

Deal or no deal??

The receiver can be a DSA SA58, but the rest of it may be a used parts kit. Be sure to do some research!

Buy it and if you don't like it sell the gun on gunbroker for $3000, the mags for $400 and the sling for $87.

Unless the parts kit is worn out junk, the kit gun would probably be better.

Where is this so I could buy it? My current collection lacks an FAL, and I could use a good one.

Built from a parts kit? Or new production?
Parts kit will most likely have chrome lined barrel. New production won't have a lined barrel.

If it has a good barrel that is timed right, looks okay, and runs, it is a good deal regardless.

DSA did the SA 58 up right and used orignal Steyer components except for the Receiver.

OK the deal is done... I would have bought a FAL long ago but I was torn between going with a .308 AR vs. a FAL for accuracy reasons. It was something I'd eventually get (one or the other) but with the climate and seeing that these were selling for this price before all this panic, I figured it was a safe bet. I was all proud of myself before today, not taking part in any of this panic buying...

I would have posted earlier, but I was working on the engine of the boat I want to sell next year and took it out for a quick sea trial right after I left the gun shop. I really shouldn't have taken the poor FAL on the boat... it jumped in the water like a Labrador.
