hmmm...

1: s.w.a.t. - it started my obsession with ar's.
2: a-team when they used ar's - when the when to stainless mini's - i  think it lost something.
3: tales of the gun (duh!) in the history channel - WHICH featured my own hands on the guns if israel episode!!

The 80s was my childhood era, so Miami Vice it is. Tour Of Duty was aired here about 3 years ago, not too many Vietnam shows here so it was good.

Combat, the French Foreign Legion show with Fuzzy whatever his name was, Ceiling Unlimited, Silent Service I think it was called, Tour of Duty,  someohow didn't like China Beach show or Dana Delaney.  M.A.S.H. and it's smart-ass PC-ness still sucks.

I'd have to include Rifleman - for it's presentation of Lever Action As Assault Rifle.

Was Rat Patrol in the desert?

Looking at the topic again, I guess I could include Hoppy, Roy, and Gene, technically.

Also Cisco Kid was great, took unlimited ammo to extremes and every shot seemed to richochet.

I have been dedicated to the daily re-runs of Tour of Duty & Pensicola-Wings of Gold(Marine avaitor show) on TNT during my winter off.

I was kinda pissed when I read that James Browlen, director of 'Wings of Gold', is anti-gun.

I just love this BOLD feature. Can't you tell?

Rat Patrol kick *ss! The dueces on the jeeps were awesome. Never understood how the backdeck guy never ended up with whiplash or a broken back with all the dune jumpin' they did.

Hands down tour of duty

showing reruns on TNT at 4:00PM EST favorite shows was when a part of LT. goldman's platoon volenteered to join SOG.They got to run around in tiger-striped BDU's and carry(for the most part) sterile weapons. My favorite character was a LT. Fontain who aside from being SF was also a CIA cowboy(a couple shows he was out trying to assasinate a top ranking NVA officer). No one really liked him because he was extremley phycodic, but I thought he was pretty cool [:D]

Anyway the ran through the whole series once and the started at the beginning a few weeks ago so hopefully I will get to tape the SOG part if the don't take it of te air first

Ya man Tour of Duty is the show.

The best days for me had to be taking off of work on a friday to go to a fun show all day, then come home, eat pizza, and watch a new Tour of Duty. Those were such great times I didn't even care I never had poontang. All of that has been taken away from me and now that I have lots of free time, I still ain't getting any.

I knew little about him when I started watching the series this winter. I thought he acted pretty cool on the show. Then I seen the list of Hollywood antis in the Blue Press(Dillon Precision) magazine. Both him and his bitch are listed. Or maybe James is her 'lil bitch.

Yeah, and I left out JAG(my wife's favorite too) and 2 of my early faves, Adam-12(1st time I saw an AR, aside from the m-16's on the evening news) and SWAT(cool theme song, liked it almost better than Five-O, oh, forgot, Jack Lord was an ANTI)
