Ok... a few thoughts...

1. Why didn't they tase him? Don't all cops carry tasers now?

2. If a cop has his gun drawn and is pointing it at you and telling you to do things and you don't do them... You're going to get shot. And I won't fault the officer for it. In fact if anyone is threatening you and you pull your gun to defend yourself... and they still are advancing on you... I wouldn't fault anyone in that situation.

3. I'm not entirely sure what happened here. Was it the cop who the guy was cornering and threatening that shot him or some other cop nearby? Did he have a chance to see the gun pointed at him and obey instructions from that officer before the shooting started? Or was it just "That guy is threatening my buddy! pull gun. fire." I still don't see much wrong with that either.

Then you've got fucked up laws or fucked up prosecutors/cops/grand jurors/etc.. Unless there's more to the story, like a crime being commited by the shooter that would void a self defense claim, that would never get prosecuted here. A guy being shot by a husband while attempting to stab the wife, with witnesses that confirmed the story, would be extremely unlikely to get prosecuted here.

Five years on the force and two shootings because he feared for his life..His first shooting I say was good but this last shooting I have a hard time believing if he didnt have a badge he would be in jail..The officer wasnt alone..If a legal ccw person was in the same situation I do feel the prosecutor would argue the man was a double amputee in a wheelchair and you would be found guilty of murder.

I doubt the wheelchair guy is any loss, but even in a really small room with a really mean guy in a really fast electric wheelchair and even if it's some really scrawny cop I can't puzzle out how a reasonably healthy adult armed with a club, pepper spray and probably a taser in a room with the lights on shoots a guy missing an arm and leg who has a pen.
