THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT The press loves to say someone had "an arsenal". They usually are stories where someone misbehaved and their firearms end up on display on a folding table. Is there a fixed number? Is it more than two? Greater than 25? 100? |

None. An arsenal is a place where weapons are manufactured or serviced.

as soon as you have anything with a pistol grip, rail sections, light or shoulder thing that goes up, then you have an arsenal

Arsenal= Somewhere between your wife bitching about too many guns and a military armory!

Im going to go with 3. People only have 2 hands, so a third gun, you could arm someone else.

The more the merrier, but I think you start getting arsenally around 15. I'm talking about long guns.

Anything more than 1 gun and a partial box of ammo is an arsenal, according to the popular press. No extra mags allowed either.

First post, and all that jazz.
Two. Two firearms is an "arsenal". Any amount of ammunition is too much, and is evidence of mental instability. You buy a box when hunting season comes around. That is all you need. |

5. After that the liberals run out of fingers to count on, so they just say "arsenal"
You would think they would use the other hand, but that's too advanced for them. |

Once the police come into your home every firearm becomes and assualt weapon and part of a large arsenal and ammunition stockpile. Numbers are irrelevant

More than 2 firearms and with over 25 rounds of ammunition makes up an arsenal.

In Connecticut, 1 is a weapons cache, 2 is an arsenal, 3 or more and you're described as being "ready for a war".

In my mind when I read "arsenal" in the media I figure at minimum the person had 3 guns.
In my mind a "small arsenal" would require at least 26 Battle rifles and 26 sidearms, along with around 15k rounds of ammo. In my mind if you cant outfit a platoon its at best a starters collection ![]() |

In the eyes of the media I'd say about 3, and more than 2 rounds per gun.

I guess it is subjective. 15 muzzle loaders are a lot different than 15 class 3 weapons.

Sometimes you have to go to battle with the arsenal you have, not the one you want.

According to the MSM, based on what I see, if you have more than one gun or more rounds than will fit in one gun, you have an arsenal.

1 = assault weapon
2 = multiple assault weapons 3-4 = cache of assault weapons 5-8 = arsenal " " " 9-14 = stockpile " " " 15+ = massive stockpile " " " |

If you have an assault rifle, high capacity clips and/or high powered armor piercing ammo then you have an arsenal.

ARFCOM wet dream times 1000 = arsenal. |

I personally didn't feel like I had an arsenal til I passed 3 figures.
Now I'm down to a 22 and a 38, what with the boating accident and all |

To me an arsenal would be 10 or more of the exact same type of weapon with at least 25,000 rounds for said rifles.
Everything else is a collection. Nothing wrong with a private citizen having either. |
