My leather vette seats are showing more wear and tear than my face is. Oh, and I still have all of my hair BUT between Vietnam and then later raising my daughter, which was the hardest thing I ever did, it all turned gray. |

If you aren't you need a Kangol cap and leather driving gloves to compensate.

I've had two Corvettes and am under 40. I am not bald either but I am white. My first Corvette was a 67 roadster with that years racing package, knock off wheels, side pipes, the factory racing gas tank, racing suspension and the 350 hp 327.
My uncle had one when he was young too. His was a 58 with triple two barrel carbs. So there was two people just in my immediate family who had Corvettes when they were young. |

Nope.
![]() My Dad had 3 different ones ('66, '69, '72) consecutively in his late 20s and early 30s, hasn't had one since. (I wish he had kept either one of those!!!) His old college roommate at Georgia Tech has had no telling how many and still owns four currently... he may be old and white, but his isn't bald and he started young. One of my best friends here at the office had two very nice ones ('82, then a '72) consecutively in his late 30s/early 40s and then sold the last one to buy a nice HD. No baldness to be found. ETA: No pics of my Dad's old ones handy, but here are the ones mentioned above that belonged to my friend. I actually drove him down to Tampa years ago to get the '82 and, had circumstances been just a little different at the time, I would have bought that one when he sold it to buy the '72, it was super-clean... ![]() ![]() EATA: FTR, I've never owned one but would really like to some day... probably when I'm older and fatter (no plans to bald |

Haters gonna hate.
I love my vette and there are.pictures of it here on arfcom somewhere What's funny is is the price The sticker on my pickup (or most new pickup) is higher then a vette except for maybe a loaded z06 or zr1. Then again if u go with a duramax and Allison that sticker starts to climb real fast. From my mobile Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

All kids gone. Bought Challenger SRT8 because I could. Also bought a Victory motorcycle 'cause Harley's are everywhere but I wanted a US made V-twin. Might have a Vette someday, may favorite is the '59 but a '70 would do just fine.

It's not a mid-age crisis issue, it's a mid-age money issue. I had my first C-5 when I was 39. I'm currently driving my third C-5. While still having a good head of hair which seems important for the younger folk, the Corvette is simply a nice ride and well priced for it's performance compared to other sports cars.

Is this your attempt to insult people who drive Corvettes or are you just jealous because you are a loser and will never be able to afford one?

The Vette is definately the lincoln town car of the sportscar world. its a status symbol coveted by middle aged and above folks. Thats not to say the vette isnt a wonderfull sportscar. But it has cultivated an image just as much as monster trucks or civics with fart cans have.

most kids can't afford the fun toys.
And men that have kids usually can't afford them untill the kids are gone. |

People always talk about mid-life crises and compensating for it and wanting to feel young.
Then I realized most had wanted a sports car all their life. They just couldn't afford one until they were older. |
