However, we started from someone referring to self defence cases that were clear-cut even under the most stringent and toughest interpretation, then quoting as an example the case of a farmer shooting someone in the back as they tried to run away. My point is that Tony Martin really isn't a good example of "self defence" even for the US as I suspect it would only be a good shoot in a handful of the more enlightened states.

Posted: 8/9/2012 11:38:24 AM I will admit I put a staple into my thumb once when I was trying to open an older front loading stapler several years ago. It had a hinge that you had to pull up on and swing it out to load in staples. It wasn't stapling so I figured it was out. I go to push up on the hinge to swing it out and bam, the stapler popped a staple into my thumb. It stung a little but it wasn't even a big deal. My thumb was very mildly sore for a day or two. Am I going to suggest staplers be banned? No just don't be a fucking moron.

His loss, had Martin been successful in killking Fearon, would not have been something many would have cried over. Cos there have been no dramas that I can recall over stun guns. Firearms laws links have already been provided. We have guns. Some of us have lots of them. We have done this many many times. In terms of self defence we can use lethal force in a pre-emptive strike in an act of self defence. Did you get your balls felt up by the TSA as you landed in the UK?
