I got a set of luggage and kicked out of the house. The feeling was mutual. At least I got something useful –– I still have that set of luggage in the garage 25 years later.

For graduating high school? I got nothing and expected nothing. It was my job to do. My parents were proud I got the job done and helped support me (free food and rent at home) as I went off to university.

Graduated not long ago 2007, I got two really nice snap-on tool boxes probably like 5 foot tall and 30 inches wide with the one setting on top of the other. When I got out of high school I wanted to be a mechanic then changed my mind now I'm halfway through an engineering degree. I never use them but they sit in the garage along with 5 grand of tools

Everyone that came to my graduation party gave me money, with a single exception.
My first grade teacher and her husband, who lived in the neighborhood, stopped by, and they gave me a picture frame. I appreciated the thought, but it was an odd gift for a 17 year old boy. It sat in the box for a few years until I came across it and gave it to my mom. She still uses it. It's a nice frame. |

Yeah I got luggage too! LOL!! Mine served me well for many years, but I finally had to replace it because it was embarrassing to drag that old `70's stuff through the airport. I still have it though...
