lol Fella, sounds like we had similar dads.
my first engine experience was when I seized the motor on my go-cart
dad said "you broke it you fix it, I am not buying another one"

so I proceeded to take the head off. pour some oil on top of the piston and beat on it with a hammer...
dad knew better and just watched me. suprised us both when the piston broke free and that motor ran just fine for another few years...

You build what you want, but myself, I get bored with seeing 100 rods all with small block Chevys.

The 350 was king back in the 50s-early 60s. But nowadays there are gobs of motors that will tear your tires off and ruin your frame.

It especially blows my mind to see an old Mopar with a sbc.

I'd like to score a I6 Chevy just to put a monster 292 in it.

350's weren't made until 1968 265 in 1955. First chevy V8.

Sweet ride! Yesterday I shortened a straight axle out of a '66 for my Coronet,

made a dolly out of the left over piece.

I stand corrected, I confused sbc with 350.

It was at a junkyard. I pulled the complete front end and the seats.

The body was surprisingly solid, they crushed it two weeks later.

My brother picked up a 1937 Chevy PU for a few thousand, he put a diesel motor in it and drives it several times a year to shows in IL and FL
This is it at the Rumblers Car Club show in Coney Island '09
