Her- "If you're not sleeping together, she shouldn't be asking you to do that." I got a text from her in the middle of the night saying the that she and her roommate have food poisoning, so none of this may happen anyways. I was just wondering where y'all stand on this. It depends if the dinner value is equal to the value of your time for assembling the bookshelf. If you can cook like I can then it may not pencil out. Based on the food alone, it doesn't. Both of her parents are chefs, and she claims she can cook. However, plan of the evening was pizza, and I can cook. This discussion appears to be moot as I haven't heard from her. I think I'll be buying some beer and CHOKING some chicken. Fixed it for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

If she was thinking of you as dating material, she would not have been thrown off guard by you asking her on a date. Eject and find someone who is anticipating you asking them out.

There's some truth to that, but 90% of college girls are filled with the crazy. It has many causes, including but not limited to: Daddy Problems STD Scare Just devirginized without emotion Birth Control Hormones kicking in Pot You never really know what they're gonna say, but you can usually predict how they feel based on their response. When I was in college, I went by the 1:20 rule. Out of every 20 girls I approached, one of those would turn into a decent relationship. It could be 1, it could be 5, it could be 20, but somewhere along the lines I'd meet someone cool. After a few times, I got better and my ratio came closer together, but in college towns that's pretty much what to expect. |

Foxtrot Mike Lima. Comments that may help: - On many occasions I've had women turn me down and later want to date me. Why? I acted like their rejection was nothing. Next time I saw them? "Hi! How's it going?". Didn't suck up, didn't avoid them, just let them know that my life is more than just which woman I'm dating or not dating. - I've also had women who I've dated say things that made me think they weren't that interested, yet continued to want to see me and it eventually blossomed into a relationship. Why? Because unlike men (who tend to keep their mouths shut), a lot of women say whatever comes to mind in terms of how they are feeling at that exact second. It's like they are at war with themselves. Maybe they got screwed over by a guy, so the next guy who comes along, they say "I'm not interested in dating". Judge them by their actions, not their words. Don't be too available. See the first comment. - NEVER date just one women unless she only dating you (and never assume she is). Go out, meet women, have fun, keep a busy schedule. You won't have any time available to think "I wonder if she likes me?". You'll give off the musky aroma of a man who lives his own life. It's irresistible to women. RF |

I was a 25 yr old sophmore dating a 17 yr old freshman when I ran into my 28 yr old former SO of 3 yrs. Knocked up she was by the guy she left me for.....hmmmmmmmm.
I think I got the better part of the deal. Next came the secretary slut with the fiance she overlooked telling me about, then the freaky Renfair chick. and then the SEM operator. I married the next one in line. Best thing to ever happen to me. Live a little, but quality over quantity anytime. |

Then you can wait for a response. A yes is a yes, anything less than yes is a no. |

Shoot me a text sometime if you feel like grabbing coffee or killing time." I got a facebook invite later that day, and that was the last I heard from her. Ok that's a decent response. Still in my experience, 90% of the time you will have to startup the conversation and ask them out again. That's just how things work. You can tell she has some level of interest in you since she sent you a text, appologized, and sent a Facebook request. If she didn't like you and wasn't interested in the possibility of going out she wouldn't have done any of the three. There can be all sorts of reasons that she is hesitant and distant. Don't get caught up in worrying about what might be going on in her life or waiting for her to respond. If you want to go out with her, contact her again and ask. It's Friday which is late to get plans setup for the weekend but if she is single and has nothing going on still might be able to. Again from experience if you want to see a girl Friday or Saturday you need to ask them and make plans by Wednesday night. However, that wouldn't stop me from asking someone out, it just lowers the chances of them being free and saying yes. It's Friday morning, if you are free tonight you could text her something like "Hey, I had plans to hang out with my friends tonight but something came up and they cancelled. You want to go to ABC and do XZY tonight?" ABC being any location and XYZ being any activity. A sports place for mini-golf or go carts, a restaurant to eat, a place just to get ice cream, or anything else you would like that is fun. A movie right off the bat is not a good idea, you can't talk and just have sit in an uncomfortable silence. If you text her something like that you will get a response. From that response is how you decide what to do next. |
