Love it. Let me know when they come out with one with guys in 5.11s, polo shirts, plate carriers, and battered AKs.
Seriously, that is just plain bad-ass. Just showed it to SWMBO. She likes it, too. St. Michael just adds to it, as he's the patron saint of parachutists. |

While I am diggin' the graphics, the rest is total shit!
Icon makes some serious junk that looks good |
|
Well i personally dont care for it!
It would match all the ugly, bedazzled affliction shirts that all the meatheads wear! |
|
Looks good, I like it.
I just wouldn't wear it, I'm a Nolan fanboy. |

Cool.
BTW, according to some research, not having SNELL approval (DOT only) may actually be a good thing. |

I wore quite a bit of ICON stuff when I was big into sportbikes.
It is good stuff, and I like the helmet. |
|
I dig the theme, but it's not something I would wear on my head.
Still a cool helmet though. |
|
I have a leather ICON jacket that I've been wearing for several years. They make decent stuff for the street.
I believe their goal is to bring protective gear to people who would not be able to afford or or normally wouldn't wear protective gear. |

I've been around amateur, expert, and professional racing for 20+ years. ICON as a brand has only been out a portion of my time, but I've yet to see a privateer, or factory racer choose to wear their lids. Speaks volumes.
They look nice though. |

I have never seen an icon helmet or any icon gear @ a track day. Their stuff is geared toward the street stunting/posing/wannabe crowd. The same guys w/ 3" chicken strips and helmet mohawks.... Whatever gets ur dink hard I guess... |

Icon = prefered squid gear. Eh? I thought squids dont wear gear at all. No doubt about their target market seeming to be stunters though. First time I saw Icon stuff was on that show Jason Britten hosted and hes a stunter. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

What i thought of when i saw it was that scene from the new Star Trek remake movie. The one where the cop is on a hovering "motorcycle", if you could call it that, chasing a young Kirk in a 60's model sports car that he eventually drives off a cliff. |

...I believe their goal is to bring protective gear to people who would not be able to afford or or normally wouldn't wear protective gear. They do seem to cater to the crowd who would be "too cool" to wear gear, unless it looks cool: Poser dudes and chicks. Mostly. It is nice to see gear that fits the ladies ...appropriately. |

Meh, Icon is worn by squids and is fitted too small for listed size. Plus, only squids and RUBS like to wear those helmets with shite all over them in my experieince. I only wear Biltwell lids, anyway.

Icon has been doing military oriented stuff since they came out, they actually sell Icon stuff at the clothing sales and PX on base.
In the last few years there has been some controversy over the Snell ratings. Some say that the Snell is inferior to the European ECE rating. IIRC they said that the Snell rating was on helmets was biased toward helmets that have a hard outer shell but don't really look at energy absorption. The Euro rating looks more at how the helmet absorbs the impact over just how the shell holds up. |

This thread reminds me why I stopped hanging out with the biker crowd. Too much like high school.

Icon helmets never have seem to fit me right. I do however love my overlord prime leather jacket. To all the haters saying they are only for squids I don't get it.... To me that's like saying handguns are for criminals bc it's what they use to rob. My jacket is made from great leather & has enough protection pieces to make me feel comfortable while riding everyday. If that makes me a squid then...

An Icon helmet saved my beautiful face in a motorcycle wreck. They are great.
