THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I have a 10 week old border collie, and she is weighing 10.2lbs.

According to this puppy growth chart, it has her listed as being a 'large' dog.

http://www.petscorner.com.my/hills/images/puppy-chart.pdf

Not sure how accurate this is.

This has my dog weighing ~26 lbs as an adult instead of the 50+ lbs the dog food company is saying it will be. I want to keep my dog on the thin side, because active dog breeds with heavy body weights start developing hip problems.

I think the size of the knee joint is more indicative of probable size than the paws.

This tiny little bundle of skin and bone is now at about 105, all feet, floppy jowls and slobber.

Dude was (a fat) 12 lbs at 8 weeks. He just turned 2 years and is about 110. He has a lot of filling out left to do. I'll bet he's 130 or so next year.

You do realize that the first chart you posted is in Kilograms?

So your dog would be in the medium range. 10 pounds = 4.58 Kg

At 12 weeks my American Boxer was 25.7#.

He is 95# now, a few months shy of 3 years old.

Like me, he is big but not fat.

We had no idea that he would be that big. Some friends of ours picked the runt of the litter that our Boxer was in. That runt is a 45# female.

My GSD is ten weeks now and is a little more than 18lbs. His dad was close to 90 and looked a little small for his frame.

At 6 months my mutt was 14 ounces. He's now 7 and a half pounds at 3 years old. I didn't get my GSD until she was a year and a half, so I have no idea. She's 70-75 pounds depending on the season and how much we're working her.

For those who get it no explanation is necessary. For those who don't no explanation is possible.
