What's with all the gay shit?
It wasn't in the books, and its fucking gross. And whats with the chick trying to have a 3-way with her queer brother?
I told my wife the books were great, she keeps giving me weird looks and asking if all this gay shit was in the books and
acting like I'm a turd knocker. Then, when there is tits finally, it's some alien-faced small-titted fucking ginger with googly-eyes.
And yes I know it was alluded to in the books, but this is ridiculous.
Fuck HBO for making this awesome series a big fag fest. |

I'm fine with how they have condensed Jon and Arya's stories so far, but not Tyrion's. They've only hit a triple with what should have been a grand slam. |

I'm totally confused. The Game of Thrones drinking game says drink for incest. But is what Margaery proposed incest? I mean, if Loras is there to get King homo going and then he plows Margaery does that count as incest? Does Loras have to touch her first? What if there is accidental touching? I'm so confused.

solid episode...
I thought they nailed Brienne (that's a big bitch). Margery Tyrell is too old (but that's understandable since she's naked half the time and the rest of the adult principals are too old as well), but they did a good job of laying out that she knows exactly what's up (and was raised for the role she's playing)... I can't wait to meet her mom. I think they totally fucked up Loras' character. He's supposed to be something of a badass (cocky prettyboy yes, rumpranger yes, but as fine a swordsman as Westeros has... kind of a younger version of Jaime), but instead he's just a wimpy-looking, whiny "bottom". They're totally rocking the Tyrion storyline, except that they've bypassed that Tyrion actually tries to help Joffrey to not be such a shithead (and fails miserably)... but we'll see if they actually try to squeeze that in. I like the Arya storyline as I do in the books. The part at Harrenhall (hopefully) is going to be classic. They're setting up the Theon character arc fairly well. Knowing how that works out (through 5 books at least) I'm not sure how that's going to play out with the audience, but I think it's a fairly interesting story. |

It bugs me because it wasn't in the books, and I love the books(well all but the last one anyways), so it pisses me off that they are changing it. It's not just the gay sex, the show is being over-sexualized, and the book wasn't like that. There were some scenes, but it being over the top for views annoys me.
I planned on watching the show with my parents and brothers, but because of how they decided to do the show that would be too awkward.
And as far as bitching about stuff, GD would be devoid of threads if no bitching was allowed |

Martin's a fat geek who obviously didn't get laid enough as a lad (kind of like most of ARFCOM)... what you gonna do? ...the poor schmuck likes the Jets and Giants also... Besides, sex sells. That's just the way it is. This series isn't my personal geekgasm, it's a way for HBO and GRRM to make money. |

+1 for Brienne. When she took off her helmet (and again when she was standing next to Catelyn) I said out loud, "Perfect!".
As for all of the gratuitous sexuality, SNL did a segment on it here:

I thought it was implied that that was enough cause for the outcome when it came to Cersei. He told her to take the children and leave the city but that he could not promise they would be spared from Robert's wrath. Then Robert dies... However, she knew how he intended for things to happen, so that gave her time to buy off the people she needed to buy off. |

Anyone that does not like spoilers should not open a discussion thread on the subject until after they have watched the show.

The implication (to me at least) was that Arya and Sansa would have been halfway to White Harbor before Cersei knew they were gone if someone could have kept their trap shut. It wouldn't have saved Ned because Ned, (bless his peapickin' little heart) tried to give Cersei an "out" instead of nailing her nipples to the door. It's a collosal explosion of failure all around.
