It has potential. http://i42.tinypic.com/xq3yf.jpg That's older than the model from last year. Look at the selector switch and grip. The one I edited in my post looks to be the same externally as the version they showed last year. |

Yea, I was just trying to find one that got the overall profile, without a bunch of stuff we can't own attached.

Does it do anything appreciably different than all the other .223s that are on the market?

Does it do anything appreciably different than all the other .223s that are on the market? Most ambidextrous .223 I've ever seen. Has advancements such as the XCR and ACR do. Hopefully Beretta learns from the others mistakes, releases it with no reliability issues, and a price that makes sense. |

Looks way better than the .22 pistol version. Yeah I forgot to add that. Thanks |
Knowing Beretta, it will be out in 5 years.
Search: Neos Carbine Kit |

This is my must own rifle of 2012. I'm not buying many other rifles, but i will own one of these.

So, Arfcom has conveniently forgotten about the boycott on Italian arms makers?
Meh...
Beretta's customer service won't be a selling point either. |

Will we actually see this one, or is it another RX4 debacle? Either way, it's still ugly...I'm just wondering if it's ugly that will make it to America.

Why switch off a well-proven and supported platform that is the standard rifle for your country - to something that offers nothing in addition to what you currently have?
Those sights look awfully high. I wonder what the distance is from the top of the front sight post to the barrel?
Discuss? Well I was helluva excited. Then I took into consideration the take down method and the fact that my state requires the stock to be pinned and welded. Wooopie fucking do
If they're not stupid expensive, I might look into buying one.
Although it looks like IMI may have a Tavor in the US by the end of the year. I currently do not own an AR or any other 5.56 rifle... but will likely be in the market sometime this year. I hope there are some cool new products without crazy prices. |
Beretta needs to fire their designers. Everything they're released in the past decade is hideous.

Anyone remember what Beretta did to Italian gun owners earlier this year?

Anyone remember what Beretta did to Italian gun owners earlier this year? Yes we do. I also know that the ARX-160 looks to be a good product, and I'm not an Italian. |
YYYYEEESSSS I have been waiting for one of these for a while now. F a piston gun or ACR, This is the ticket.

Anyone remember what Beretta did to Italian gun owners earlier this year? No. I do know what their ship captains do. What happened? |
It looks like it has some great features that are better than the other next gen ar's, but that thing is butt fucking ugly. I think I'd rather get the Tavor.

Anyone remember what Beretta did to Italian gun owners earlier this year? Fuck Beretta. I just reread those threads. I must have somehow overlooked Beretta was involved. I thought it was just that P.O.S. small Italian company. I didn't know it was so many. To be fair though, Beretta products are sold by Beretta USA which factories are in Maryland. Either way, doesn't effect me as I have no interest in Beretta's products |

The 5.56 rifle for that price looks pretty interesting! Also in 7.62x39, apparently. http://www.all4shooters.com/it/Contenuti/Pro-Zone/2012/January/NEWS/Beretta%20ARX160%207,62x39/Beretta%20ARX160%20(7,62x39)-01.JPG?&resize=600x350^ This might make me change my mind from wanting a Sig 556R |
Yeah, well, fuck Beretta.
Some interesting features for .gov .mil applications. Absolutely nothing for an end user civilian. If I want to change barrels, i'll just buy a whole different rifle. I'm right handed, so I don't give a rats ass about being ambidextrous. Being able to change back and forth is useless to an end user....one or the other is fine. Tool free barrel removal means shoddy accuracy, something I DO care about.
Another thing I DO care about is Beretta's terrible triggers historically. Ever fired a CX4? LMAO. I'll take a SCAR anyday over this rifle. For that matter, an ACR or any piston driven AR. The one chambered in 7.62x39 is mildly interesting, only because of my abhoration of AK's |

The forearm is WAY too tall and uncomfortable to hold. Have you held a production civvie version? |

It's good to have some more options in the form of the ARX-160 and Tavor. |

I freaking said it!!!
I love the ARX-160!! I fiddled with it multiple times two SHOT shows ago. Loved it!! better than the masada!!! That was not just my opinion either. |
