Yes it will work be aware if you havent hunted them before if they bust you calling it wont work again. I like baiting a area and then waiting on a lit up nite . Check your regs and hammer down good luck

I use this with a external speaker placed away from me, I've been successful 5 times with this setup now. You can do it without the speaker, I just like to draw attention away from where I'm actually sitting. |

Well, apparently I can't hunt at night in Arkansas.
Hopefully I'll be able to call some in just before sunset one night this week, if not, I'll have most of the day Saturday to try. I'll try using that Android app. Thanks for the heads up. Last time I went Coyote hunting it was with my Grandpa at his farm and I was about 4 or 5. They hunted at night though and spotlighted them. Killed a bunch of 'em, but they had been attacking his cattle. |

True game calls are cheap and will be more effective than your ghetto blaster. Yotes are smart critters.

I have done some of this and Yotes are extremely smart. If you fail to kill them on the first try you might not get a second. You can download dying rabbit and other calls from the interweb. The puppy cries are very effective. You need complete camo and sent mask and note the direction of the wind, don't siloute yourself and it helps to place the speaker away from you. If you have a Yote coming in at a trot, pause or stop the call and the Yote will stop to try to locate the call and you may take your shot. Good luck.

check your laws. but most states have an "anything goes" policy for coyotes . calls, baiting, high cap mags , ect ect

Think it will work? I KNOW it will work. About ten years ago before there were digital callers I made my own using an MP3 player, sounds I downloaded off the California Varmint Hunters Site or from some of their members, can't hardly remember which....I got a speaker from Radio Shack-outdoor alarm speaker- I housed it all in a cheap Koplin plastic case and went hunting. It served me very well for 5-6 years until I bought a FoxPro. Gave it to my brother in law who I think is STILL using it though he may have upgraded the MP3 player with an IPOD....

I met an officer from the South African Defense Force that told me they call in foxes by using a tape recorder and loudspeaker on a truck with a recording of a squealing rabbit.
He said [South African accent] "we catch a rabbit and make it squeal, do you know how we make it squeal"? Me 'No'? South African "we electrocute it"
