Looks great. I've been spending my time doing engine machine work, so no cosmetic upgrades for me this year. Out in garage resurfacing rocker arms today.

Long story short I have been trying to find the perfect tail light for the rhinosaur. 
Every chopper magazine and parts maker makes a "custom tail light some are repro of model T lights, swastikas, iron crosses, vincet tail lights some custom billet crap as well. None of them really seemed fit what I was lookin for. 
When I bought the 51 I was checkin it out and I found one that just had this zen understated quality to it. |

you could always clean it comepletely up––re spray OD and have someone cut you up the stencil for the 556 can.

Thank you for your service. I have a million reasons why I am building a TRIUMPH instead of a Harley I could have bought a shovel or ironhead for less and for a little more coin even a pan. A triumph just seemed right for me.I really don't dislike Harley but I remember my uncle telling me when I got the trumpet, to start working on that the everyone rode harleys but the guys who went fast rode triumphs thats ok with me they were the bikes even the motorcycle gangs even made exceptions fore. Guys like the booze fighters came home from WWII and chopped and bobbed bikes to suit their needs and wants. Some of the WWII vet would put on war trophies from their time over seas, this was later picked up by younger biker gangs like the Angels putting swastikas and shit like that on their scoots for shock value. It wasn't something they earned just something they did. The hammer is off of an IED cell it's my two cents, my buy in to generations past who have quitely made this nation what it is, wether they fought eyeball deep in hell or worked in some hot and nasty factory putting it on on the line. The America the media oftern ignores because it doesn't garner a shit load of attention. Maybe they just want to grow old gracefully and are not on some late life quest for redemtion. |
